After I finally saw the directors cut of daredevil, I have to say that it didn't really make me like it much more, even though I thought it was a better version.
Here is a comparison article for you.
To me it's just a different film than what was release. However I want to make it clear I am probably the only person in the entire world who actually liked Daredevil the movie when it came out. I think the directors cut is miles better but I had no problem really with the movie they produced. In fact I think some of the casting was brilliant. Michael Duncan Clark as Kingpin? He is a vastly underrated villain in all of the movies, they played him perfectly. He wasn't cartoon character clown, he was an organized mob boss. I also thought that Colin Ferrell was superb as Bullseye. Probably a little more humerus than I would have liked but still I thought both were good.
Hell I didn't even really mind Affleck as Matt Murdock.
What does his voice have to do with anything? I found Bale's forced gravely voice to be a little annoying at times.
I'm not sure if the source is legit but if this is true, I'm sure a lot of you will be happy...
I think Cranston's a great actor, but I don't like him as a fit for Lex Luthor. Too old.
Although I think Mark Strong is a bit old, I think he'd be a good Lex as well.
Cranston is great, but he's really too old.
I totally agree that Rosenbaum would be totally awesome... his portrayal of Luthor was by far the best part of Smallville and is easily better than anything Hackman or Spacey brought to the character.
Of the major Hollywood actors that have been mentioned so far, Mark Strong would be my choice but I also agree that a younger actor might make more sense in the long run.
Rosenbaum, while playing it well, has already done Lex. I think it's better to have someone else. Cranston should be an interesting choice. I agree that Strong has already played the villain role too much (ie Sherlock Holmes), so this could be better. I think Cranston as Lt Gordon would have been interesting too.
I said it before and I will say it again:
We are seeing the end to superhero movies.
Marvel should sue DC for ending it.
I totally disagree with you there. I think we're just getting started... if DC can make this Batman vs. Superman movie work, DC/WB are going to be huge players over the next decade-plus with Affleck and Cavill.
I personally can't wait for Avengers 2 and 3. I can't wait to see which Avengers end up making the cut.
And one day, I hope they can get Wolverine and Spidey into one of those movies.
I think the outrage over Affleck is hilarious. It is like watching a carbon copy of when Ledger was announced as Joker.
Affleck is 6'4", so he's got that going for him as well.
I'm having a hard time imagining Cranston's Luther as anything but Heisenberg...
If he got in shape I honestly think it could maybe work. Seriously, he's got the gravitas.
I think Affleck will do well as Bats.
I would have loved to see Karl Urban try it as well.
An awesome fake trailer mash up.
