Eddy curry and Elton brand are taking turns beasting pau on the low block.
I just typed that, and I was serious.
@AlexKennedyNBA: Wow. RT @ESPNStatsInfo Anderson Varejao is 1st player with at least 9 pts, 23 rebs and 9 asts in an opener since Wilt Chamberlain in 1967.
"We let eddy curry dominate the paint"
never thought i would ever hear that
He also said that the Lakers are "not running the correct routes"
The Lakers' problem might be right there: Mike Brown thinks that this is football and that Steve Nash is the punter.
Lakers pieces make too much sense together for them to look this bad. Brown needs to figure this out ASAP or prepare to be punted.
He also needs to figure out how to hide Nash on D. Holy crap he is bad.
Agreed i didnt think nash's defence was that bad but holy hell its pretty brutal
Nash is making DC look like Isaiah with how much space he is giving him right now.
Also, gotta give credit to Sir Charles, he pretty much called every single one of the issues the Lakers are having on the pregame show. He is on record saying he hates the Princeton offense for the Lakers.
Nash with 3 assists and Howard with 6 boards...those are pretty big alarms IMO.
The Lakers just need to be coached by Rick Carlisle instead and they'll be fine.
Kinda starting to like this Mavs squad...
DC is making passes that he never made here WTF?
Steve Nash didn't make it hard for him.
Good game for DC... Glad to see him doing well.
I think this is about what you can expect from DC this year on the Mavs 15-18 PPG, 4-5 APG, and still really bad defense when he's playing someone other than Derek Fisher dressed up as Steve Nash for Halloween.
@FalseHoop: Princeton called. They want their offense back.
I was watching the Lakers game last night thinking, soooo you got Steve Nash and take the ball out of his hands. What did you get him for? Defense?
I was never one who thought Nash would be a great fit with the Kobe Lakers.
But the real point I want to make is this - it is one game, let's not make any rash judgments
Remember the Heats first game with the "Big 3"? They lost their first game of the season against Boston and only scored 80 points. Our own Pacers beat them not long after.
It's a long season and a bunch of guys who have never played with each other. No sense even talking about it now really.
