To me, the bigger question as it (tangentially) pertains to us is: Does Noel return to Kentucky next year?
My guess is Noel will probably go. He will probably still get drafted in the first round based on potential.
If he doesn't go, and he isn't able to be the same player anymore that could knock him really far down on draft boards.
Fred Glass says IU will pass on the Adidas alternative sleeved jerseys. Works for me.
Indiana AD Fred Glass told us today that it is "very unlikely" IU will ever wear the alternate jerseys offered by Adidas.
Fred Glass: "We've had multiple opportunities to wear alternative uniforms, and we've respectfully passed on that."
I really wouldn't mind an alternate jersey, but the sleeved versions I would rather not trifle with. Glass says the IU jersey is "iconic," but I have never seen it as a sacred cow. If Notre Dame football can throw up a monstrosity once a year, I don't see why we couldn't. Nothing too crazy, but I wouldn't mind seeing a switch up.
This fat guy for Nebraska is awesome. Do you, buddy.
Worst 8 minutes we have played all year.
They have 6 fouls, 6 turnovers, and 8 scholarship players and we are still losing.
Nebraska is dribbling the air out of the ball. It's ****ing lame, but I can't say I blame them.
The defense has been a sieve in the lane early on. The offense lacks any flow. IU seems to be only moderately interested in this game so far. Nebraska has lulled the Hoosiers--and the fans--to sleep.
Okay, there's the #1 team in the country again. 7 points in 1:30 to start the 2nd half.
Revenge! I was sooooo pissed when we lost to them last year.
If IU doesn't curbstomp Purdue by 40 in the Hall on Saturday I will be disappointed. The Boilers appear to have given up. Maybe Painter's temper tantrum will light a fire under their behind and they will play better but that team seems to have quit. You never know in a rivalry game though. IU can't go through the motions like they did against Nebraska for a half. Last year IU got on Purdue early in Bloomington and stayed ahead until the final buzzer.
And thank god Minny beat the Badgers for us. Unless we collapse its between us and MSU for the Big Ten Title. Assuming we hold serve at home, I think we can get it with just one win over a Michigan team. Would really help the cause if that was MSU of course.
Mighty cocky around here. Boilers are still a rival with talent. I'll be pleased with the win, thank you.
I'm expecting a much tougher game than the one in West Lafayette; it's a rivalry game, after all. Any win will be just fine. Still, another big win would feel quite satisfying.
Honestly, I just hope the score doesn't get out of hand and something ugly happens.
There's no over-dramatization. Beat who they were supposed to beat before, smoked WVU who's exactly as good as this squad, handled Penn State rather easily. Gave OSU a game at least, smoked Nebraska on the road (that's a ****ing accomplishment this year), at least gave Michigan a tough 30 or so minutes. Then IU happened.
If the effort since the IU game is acceptable to you I don't know what to tell you. IU broke this team. I'm not going to try and find a silver lining or sugarcoat it or whatever just because IU fans will read this. It's not about W/L, it IS about effort. This team has been done with the season since the IU game. Painter included, despite him trying to save face by getting tossed in Champaign.
I don't give a **** how young this team is. This season is not accepetable.
