(You don't need to answer, those are rhetorical questions--we all know why you're here.)
Kelvin Sampson brought IU to the dark side with lack of ethics, though his excess texts and phone calls wouldn't even register as wrong-doing at a place like KY. What was worse, though, was that he brought in kids who apparently didn't care enough to go to class, failed drug tests, and in general were scum.
Guess what, IU turned on the arc lights, did it themselves even as the NCAA was doing it, and all those cockroaches scattered. The NCAA didn't make us field a team of walk-ons, we chose that path because the program needed a lysol bath even more than the NCAA was demanding.
Now we are back in the light. Players are going to class, getting A's and B's, graduating in 3 years (maybe less for Zeller!), representing our school well off the court, and playing some extremely entertaining basketball. The only people still on the dark side are cynics like OlBlu who either fail to open their eyes or just choose not to see.
Where's my steak?
If we beat Sparty tomorrow, could we jump to #3 in the polls? Michigan and Kansas likely 1-2, but with Duke's blowout loss, Louisville losing twice now this week, Arizona losing, Syracuse losing...I think #3 is pretty realistic. Big if though. Sparty is tough and this week has been crazy in college hoops.
Yeah if we win we will definitely be 3.
Are you actualy going to try and pin him down? he will wiggle out.
Looks like Sol's going to be enjoying a nice tasty steak.
Just for kicks...say Cody and Victor go pro after this year. That means we lose Zeller, Oladipo, Hulls, Watford, and Elston. Who is your starting five next season?
Mine would probably go: Ferrell-Robinson-Sheehey-Vonleh-Perea/Fischer
I love Hanner's crazy athleticism but he has a long way to go in the "learning how to play basketball" portion of the game that makes me skeptical he can step in and start next season. I'm not sure Fischer is ready either, but I think he's criminally underrated nationally. My big concern with that lineup (and really our entire team next year) is outside shooting. If those two aren't ready, I think you could go very small and very fast with a Ferrell-Robinson-Sheehey-Hollowell-Vonleh lineup, but that group has zero post presence.
Vic is playing great.
Yeah Victor looks good. Cody...doesn't. He looks like he's moving slower.
Cody looks bad on both ends of the court.
Looks like we'll have to win this one on the break and from the perimeter.
Vic is all over the place. Wow.
Oladipo is just amazing.
If Michigan State doesn't slow this pace down and limit the turnovers we are going to maul them. The blueprint on beating IU is there: Butler and Wisconsin laid it out.
Sheehey you ****ing dumbass.
:wtf: just happened?!
Ditch the ******* zone, Crean.
Cody and CJ need to step it up on D.
I can't believe this is a tie game.
