Georgetown is way, way better than Georgia, no doubt. I was pleased with the activity on the defensive end by the Hoosiers tonight. It's not going to be an easy contest, but one I think IU can prevail in over the course of the game.
I was terrified Shabazz would go off in his second game so I'm actually OK with G'Town. I recognize they are a good team
With G'Town's size tonight do you tweak the starters if you're Crean? Go to the group that started the NCAA tourney games maybe? Hulls, Oladipo, Sheehey, Watford, Zeller.
Also, once we can get Hollowell to settle down and cut down the TOs he is going to be a big net positive for us. 3 and 5 in 13 minutes last night, but the 3 TOs really held us back during his time on the court. If he can cut that down he is going to be such a great X factor going forward.
Does Yogi always kick his feet on his jumpshot? I've seen it a couple times now. He really needs to get out of that habit.
It was funny hearing Bob Knight say "Indiana".
EDIT: Whoops, looks like it's just my ignorance.
Learn something new every day.
Somebody on Peegs said they had a source that said Perea and Jurkin have been cleared and will suit up tonight. Not confirmed yet, but the thread has stayed up for a half hour.
I hear the ruling is at 6pm. Stupid secretive NCAA
They gotta get the innocent peons out of the building to save em from the angry horde... :D
Looks like the decision won't come in time. It is an absolute travesty that Shabazz is eligible right now and Hanner and Peter are not.
Georgia handing it to UCLA so far. That close game isn't looking so bad now. Maybe Georgia just plays to the level of its opponents.
So far this game with Georgetown has been extremely competitive. The size the Hoyas bring is quite impressive.
hollowell needs to not be so sloppy. that was an unnecessary pass.
We would be up 10 if not for Hollowell. Plus size is that leaves the other guys fresher for the second half at least, when their guys aren't as fresh.
so guess jurkin and hanner did not get cleared?
This is feeling like a loss.
I wonder if Sheehey picked up Zeller's illness. He looks way off recently.
In other non-new news, Hollowell is a walking turnover.
Gtown is shooting really well from perimeter, but IU has had no answer for their combo of length and athleticism.
