Going into tonight's ugly game, Artest was shooting at a .315 percentage over the Pacers' last five games. Then tonight he shoots 9-27. Twenty-Seven shots is too many for almost any player, and especially one with a bad thumb and in the midst of a bad shooting slump.
He needs to play smarter, and he needs better shot selection. That should have been a 20 or 30 point win tonight, and would have been with more intelligent play.
