Wow who would want to buy it after what Isiah has done to it.

Maybe that's why they're selling it. When will people learn?

Maybe if everyone here at PD pennys up $.50, we can buy the Knicks and then turn them around............................................ .

Why would we want to. I love the ever further downward spiral that Isiah has sent them in.

According to Forbes (http://espn.go.com/sportsbusiness/s/forbes.html), the Knicks are currently valued at $401 million.

There's (estimating), about 500 users who've checked in over the past couple of months. So that's, what, just a little over $800,000 each?

Let me check with the wife...

Life is, well, not exactly good but possibly looking up.

As a separate entity the Knicks lose Cablevision money (and through the 3rd quarter of '04 the corp had lost over 300 million). If they hang onto the Garden, then whether they keep the Knicks or not becomes somewhat irrelevant.

Little Jimmie's in some hot water. Besides losing money, the SEC's opened an investigation. Supposedly they want to buy Vroom but son and daddy are disagreeing over that. Time-Warner's about to drop Cablevision ...

Yup - sell the Knicks, buy Vroom (or whatever else they want - I don't care) and go on. My guess is you'd have an investment group buying - unless Bill Gates is a Knick fan.

Clearly, if they could get turned around, they would be the most valuable franchise in basketball. Unfortunately, they just keep pushing back their "turned around" horizon with desperation moves.

Clearly, if they could get turned around, they would be the most valuable franchise in basketball.Right now only the Lakers ($447M) are valued higher.

For reference, the Pacers are at $280M.

What did the Cav's just sell for? They're listed with a value of $258M.

Answering my own question, $375M.

Michael Jordan? (of course, Isiah wouldn't make it past MJ's first day on the job)

You know, the wife just had a cow, when I had to spend $800 on car repairs.....Somehow I don't think she's gonna approve the check request for $800,000....But I'll ask!

Good news: I can get the $800,000.

Bad news: Half the members of this forum just got sold to the sex slave trade.

(In my best Rodney Dangerfield voice...)

Want to make $800,000 . . . . . . . the hard way??

I'm in...but I wanna move them to Floyd's Knob, Indiana....or maybe Elwood.

uh...maybe we shouldn't mention the 800K to Mrs. Geezer...I still can't talk her into sprining for High speed connections.

The Good News: I have the $800,000.

The Bad News: I'm not allowed to touch U.S soil without being arrested.
