Will he [pass Jerry West], I don't think at this pace Reggie will do it he will finshish the season at approxmently 297 points thats not enough he needs about 100 more points than that. Reggie has a big chance also to keep the three point streak of 100 threes each season going.I just hope the best for the pacers right now that they can keep there winning ways up but if Miller passes West that wouid be fantastic.

Will you stop making so many threads about 1 thing? Seriously

Yes, I think it's time to make a single thread about this topic. It will be called the "Official Reggie Miller All-Time Scoring List Watch". In fact, I'm going to rename this thread to that title and from now on let's keep the main discussion of it here.

Cool i'm sorry about making multiple topics about millers points.

It's probably fitting that he finishes at #13 (the inverse of his jersey #).

The thing is, Shaq is quickly making up ground. If he gets to #12, within a year he'll be back down to 13. IMO, I think Reggie would really think passing West would be a huge achievement considering he grew up watching him in LA.

And if we want to be serious about this, Reggie needs 315 points in the last 21 games to pass The Logo. Which means he has to average 15 points exactly the rest of the way.

Don't forget his free-throw streak either. He's at 51 straight right now which is 1 off his and the Pacers records for most ft's made in a row.

Isn't the all-time record held by Calvin Murphy with like 80 in a row or something?

> Isn't the all-time record held by Calvin Murphy with like 80 in a row or something?

Actually no. The record was partially set while this person was a Pacer.

Any guesses?

The one and only Micheal Williams.

Who?

Wasn't Michael William involved in the trade that sent Chuck Person to minnesota, and gave us Sam Mitchell and Pooh Richardson?

Yes.

I loved Micheal Williams (yes, it's eal). But, he got the plantar fasciitis and was never the same. He was a nice PG before that, though.

While Sam Mitchell turned out to be a nice pick up, Pooh sure never panned out.

Its just so FUNNY how Michael Williams FT% accuracy has changed thru his career... He had different accuracy every season, now im not talking small difference! It was like .660% next year he shot .880%... then he shot .500... then he shot .970%... its so funny i remember watching one of his games back then he was like missing 20 shots then he came back and hit 20 in a row, very funny FT shooter, he was SHAQ sometimes and REGGIE sometimes..

Another note Reggie Miller has taken his number one spot in free throw shooting this game shooting 14-15 from the free throw line.

Actually, he needs 286 points to pass West, which averages out to 14.3 points per game the rest of the way.

Is it wrong that I cared more about how many points Reggie scored than the outcome of the game? At least it gives me something else to think about when we're sucking.

With 15 points tonight, Reggie needs 271, which shaves the average down to 14.26.

The only nerves I had all night was when he only had 4 at half. :shudder:

Hey 3pt - how many points does he need for 25,000?

he got 24.961 points now.. so he needs to score 39 next game again to get 25.000.. he probably wont score 39 next game.. but at least 15-20 points, so he WILL get 25.000 after the next 1-2 games & will be hunting Jerry Wests #12 spot

Kegboy

232 points to go, which averages out to 12.89 per over the next 18, which is below his current average. :happydance:

With 13 tonight, the magic number is 219, or 12.88 the rest of the way.

Tonight was the one night I was hoping for a low number. Hopefully this means he'll reach 25,000 at home on Wednesday against SA. He just needs to score 25 or less on Tuesday.

I kind of feel bad for you. You are going to the Spur game wednesday :uhoh: That game doesn't look like its going to be pretty; even with Duncan out... :(

That's why I obsess about inconsequential things, like Pacemates and Reggie's scoring record.
