I think this will stop working after X amount of users download it. Perhaps we can get it on PD tomorrow?

I got the vid just fine...good video and good sound....thanks Hicks!

I'm assuming you Tivo?

Do you use ReplayTV? I have a DirecTV DVR and I can't connect it to my PC....

Or are you capturing right into the PC?

Ragnar

Straight to PC from a satelite dish over RCA jacks.

Ah yes, I didn't realize it would not play on via WMP. Downloaded Divx and watch it perfectly. Thanks!

what software do you (or Hicks) use to capture with?

I have a capable video and sound card, and have done it, but quality is not as good as the Freddy video....I need to get it figured out...

Ragnar

Both of us use Haupauge (sp) video cards. Hicks is on Dish network and I am on Direct TV so both of us have good pictures to start with.

I used Divx 5.11 pro with a 1250 bit rate and mp3 audio for that clip.

I use (*Edit) iuvcr from iulab.

You lost me a little....I have a 128MB ATI all-in-wonder video card and a Soundblaster Audigy pro platinum sound card...I have about a billion different kinds of ports I can use for both video and audio....I use Ulead DVD movie factory to capture with and the encoding is crappy....

What sux is that I just bought a 80G Tivo unit that has USB ports but I see no way to interface to PC without hacking the Tivo unit....

Do you have links to the software you got?

Incidentally, I'm on quite a few different P2P servers getting movies, music, apps...whatever..very secure the way I do it....don't know what the feeling around here is about that type of thing, but I can find about anything.....

Ragnar

With the 128 you need to use that purple input cable that comes with the card. Do you have that? If so you can use the RCA jacks or whatever else is on there (I used to have one I just switched) anyway as long as you have a good signal and you record raw AVI then encode it the picture should look just as good as mine. When I first started recording the games (you know for my own use of course) I was using the ATI card and its software and it looked like crap. Dont use the mpeg encoder just record raw avi.

goes to look for link to iuvcr

If you have the new Tivo OS you can use TivoToGo to transfer files to your PC...

yeah, I have the purple dongle (man that sounds bad!)

I don't think I've ever used it!! Will hook it up and look for the software, or follow the link if you can find it :D

Glad it's the weekend! This is the time when I get to tinker with all this cool stuff!!

Here is the link. You can look in the less reputable places on the net to find a serial after the 30 day trial period.

Make sure when you go to plug it in you put it in the right hole. (man this is just getting worse)

thanks rabid

I've got a DirecTV R10 model dvr.....do you mean the OS that runs that unit?

where do I find the os version?

I heard something about the USB ports being enabled soon with an upgrade to version 6.2.....version 6.2 of WHAT, I have no idea!

Right now, the DVR is 3 rooms and about 50 feet away from the nearest PC...No biggie there...I've got 4 PC's sharing the cable connection via wired router.....been needing an excuse to upgrade to wireless anyway!

If I can connect a PC to the DVR and use some util to transfer files, I'll do whatever it takes to make it happen

Dang Freddie, take it easy on the boy will ya? That dunk was right by Theo "Mr. Shot Blocker" Ratliff.

Reminded me to search up for this dunk in last years Eastern Conf. Finals...against Ben "Mr. Shot Blocker" Wallace

Go to tivo.com and put youself on the priority list - it'll download sometime overnight during an update. I did this and got it in about a week. Then you'll need a USB wireless or Ethernet converter and a router. Haven't done this yet myself but I will be in the coming week...

I'm assuming then that I have a series 2 receiver? It was the newest one about two months ago.....

It's the one with dual tuners....

Just go to Tivo.com and get 'Tivo-to-go'?

They are both great plays, that tip is just amazing touch at the very top of his leap and that dunk is just vicious.

Notice how the crowd went wild for that one. It helped that Freddie is a local, but that was one heck of a dunk. Best that I have ever seen live.

Can someone repost his dunk in the ECF please?

I love watching Fred dunk - I wish he could have pulled some better dunks in the competition last year, but he has had some amazing dunks in games (vs Detroit, Houston, Portland, etc.).
