The basketball Gods are very angry with us, for some reason....

Well, just think of it this way VA. If you were a Purdue fan like me, things would be twice as bad. A double feature of Reggie and Keady going out like this makes me want to take up knitting as opposed to watching basketball.

Too bad grandma just died a few months ago or she could have taught him. But then she might have insisted that he put a :thepiston logo on it. (Actually it would have a Michigan State logo on it, but we don't have a smilie for that.)

Depends on how you look at it. Your agony is spread out over a whole year. Kegboy's is concentrated in just the basketball season.

God had planned on us winning it all in 2001 and then we blew up the team instead of tweaking it and then threw salt on the wound and hired Isiah and God just isn't over it yet. He'd followed the Pacers just as long as the rest of us....

I spoke to God last night and he said "Wait 'till next year".

Or maybe that was my girlfriend......

Yeah, but God wanted us to hire and fire Isiah so he could go to the Knicks to save the east........

Boy, my hands look so arthritic, I don't see how I can possibly knit.

And FYI Rat, my sister sent me this thread with the heading "Magic Rat must die". So, I'd watch your back the next time you're at a game. :o

Ive never seen a season like this in my life.

2 starters injured in preseason
Bender has his typical 2 or 3 injuries, then his typical season ending one
11/19
Foster's hip surgery
Tinsley's ankle [sprain] (yeah, I beleive it is only a "sprain")
JO's injury

I was looking at my phone last night and I saw the Pacers losing by some 12 points. (I was at the bowling ally after class) I thought to myself "well, at least our star players doesnt have a season ending injuy". I had to go to work so I didnt get to hear about the game, but needless to say..............................................

They never said Tinsley sprained his ankle. They said he sprained his "foot". That's a big audible "uh oh" when you see that. That can be a whole bunch of stuff, none of which is prone to healing quickly. or staying healed if really abused. you know, like playing basketball on it. every night. at the professional level.....................IF it's a stress fracture, he WON'T heal this season. UH OH

I'm working on a very nice matched set of doilee's instead of watching the second half of the wiscy game..........

If anything, the East saves the Knicks from complete and utter embarassment.
