Ragnar

No they dont they just use one of the team comentators. They may have in the past it did seem like they did but this year they have been using existing team comentators.

It helps when you have Dick (the Knick) Bavetta reffing the game. The Knicks can foul Jermaine everytime down the court. On top of that AJ seems to have returned to form.

02-26-2005, 08:39 PM
That was a horrible, terrible, disgusting first half of play by the Pacers. Defense was nonexistant, very little intensity and effort. Offense was OK early because shots were going down, but once they stopped going down it got ugly very quickly

Jermaniac
02-26-2005, 08:41 PM
And he's still contributing far more than Tinsley.....

:zip: I rather have Jamaal on one leg then AJ on two

Jermaniac
02-26-2005, 08:47 PM
Then you must have enjoyed the second half of every season since Tinsley was drafted...

:zip:I enjoyed it way more then watching that bum AJ run the offense into the ground.

The Pacers are terribly disjointed on both ends of the floor. They aren't completing plays on either end... no energy. The fourth game in five nights will do that to a team, of course, but someone has to step up.

Mourning

Typical 2nd night of a back-to-back like the looks of it, oi? Difference with last year was we would win the 2nd game mostly and ...... we had Ron back than too

;) Lets just hope for the best tonight.

WHat the hell has Stephen been doing tonight??? When I look at his stats and I see you guys complaining about AJ, I can't help but wonder why SJax isn't catching any flak. Ok, so he had a great game last night, but that doesn't merit this kind of lame game from our starting SF.

Could anyone explain that?

It looks like Webber had a horrible game. I can imagine it will take a while for him to get adjusted to them. He has been in Sacto for a while.

What exactly happened to JO at the end of the fourth? All I heard was Slick say that a foot went into his stomach, but according to ESPNews he left the game.

I wish Tinsley could shake this injury. He really would have helped tonight.

If Tinsley is going to be hurt all season, we might as well forget about this one. Our team will get nowhere without him, he is so important to our offense.

I don't mean to bash Anthony, though. He is playing very well, he just isn't Tinsley.

Marbury was going into the lane and led with a knee, right into JO's stomach. It may have gotten him in the ribs, though. At first, I just thought he had the wind knocked out of him, but he was obviously in pain, and was helped off the court.

We WERE playing without 3 starters in our 4th game in 5 nights. **** happens.

But we were also playing one of the worst teams in the league. We can't keep making excuses.

Mourning

Jack gets blamed all the time my friend.

Come on! He got some flak after he just had returned to the line up, but lately he hasn't been blamed much, certainly nothing compared to the sort of critique our back up PG is getting. I'm no AJ fan, but come on keep it fair and honest.

I'm not only pointing at SJax here (I never blamed him before either btw), but for instance look at the grand total of 3 shots (!!!) Freddie took in 21 minutes, hitting 1, getting no rebounds, 2 TOs.

Austin: 7 shots in 15 minutes, hitting just 2??? 2 rebounds, 2 TO's.

Enough blame to go around like Shade already wrote. AJ had just 2 TOs and was our second best rebounder with 7??? Shot 50%. Ok, so he's no Tins, but this BS on him when he is not playing too bad is getting very tiring and very old now.

Seemed like another "dump it in too JO"-game btw. Something happenned to Reggie btw? I mean he was shooting pretty decent from inside the 3pt line. But, he hasn't added much scoring or assists after the break.

As Rimfire said, this Knick team under Williams doesn't lack in effort usually.

This team still has a number of valid "excuses". Just because you don't accept them doesn't mean we're still not a team torn apart by injuries and suspensions.

Man this would have been great to win, we would have moved 3 games in front of the Sixers and we would have passed the Magic for the 7th spot. Now we have to play a real tough Sonics team.

Mourning
02-26-2005, 10:18 PM
True, but on the other hand, strange enough, we seem to be doing pretty well against the better teams.

Any indication which of our players are to miss that game btw?

Despite missing key players, we had enough talent on the floor to win. It doesn't excuse a lack of effort.
