Man he is on fire on offense and he has 4 blocks already too, maybe a triple double type of night for JO.

Actually he is an above average SG who is playing out of position.

And still 10x better than God, err-- Reggie.

So you think the 13 points 8 rebounds and 3 assists so far tonight are hurting the team?

Stephen Jackson is definetly important to this team, esp. with Ronnie out because he is that player who can pick us up when we need some energy.

Hicks
02-07-2005, 08:43 PM
It's very nice when Jackson's streakiness goes OUR way. Man he can look good in spurts like these.

Ragnar
02-07-2005, 08:43 PM
Stephen Jackson watch update:

18 points 9 rebounds so far. Sure is killing the team with his over 50% shooting and above average rebounding.

Jermaniac
02-07-2005, 08:53 PM
Jack with 15 in the 3rd very good. He needs to be shooting like this all the time.

Ragnar
02-07-2005, 08:58 PM
Man if Jackson could get some help here we could win this game.

Hicks
02-07-2005, 08:59 PM
God damn the Wizards are just nailing the 3's. Killing us because if not for those, we'd be pulling away.

We need to stop giving them these damn 3's.

Hicks
02-07-2005, 09:03 PM

If the Wiz could shoot FTs, we'd be getting killed vs. beat.

89-81 and we stunk it up for several minutes. Since, I'm listening to Audio pass, what the hell happened. Did we start force feeding O'neal and then just watch as the 3ptrs rained down?????

If you're talking about just now when he missed, that's what we had to do; if we collapsed he's either drawing a FT trip or dishing to a wide-open shooter. Jackson did a good job of "faking" a double by getting his nose in a bit, but not so much to leave his man alone.

Ragnar
02-07-2005, 09:34 PM
I blame Tinsley for this loss because he did not play. Since AJ sucks so bad that even Rick is finaly getting it he had to play a player who shows promise but needs some more pt at that position before he can be relied on at the end of the game in crunch time.

A couple of quick questions. Did we trade Pollard at half time? Is David Harrison still a Pacer?

tora tora
02-07-2005, 09:35 PM
They had no answer for Arenas. He was never double teamed and was able to do anything he wanted the entire game. How did they expect to win that way?

Lord Helmet
02-07-2005, 09:44 PM
Well, I do have to say we looked good in the first half. I thought this was another win for sure, but in the 2nd half things started to unravel. We got contributions from our 1-2 punch 29 for Jackson and 30 for JO.

As for the Harrison question, I don't know why he isn't playing. He didn't play last game did he? I didn't think he did. Maybe the injury has resurfaced and with the way the season has went, I wouldn't doubt it.

Onto what we missed tonight. I think it was obvious, the Defense. It would have been nice to have had Ron on Arenas tonight. But, we can't start crying about Ron. I liked the effort by the Fiesty One Jeff Foster, I loved all the offensive boards he grabbed giving us much needed second chances. For instance, the Reggie 3, Reg misses ,Foster gets the board and Reg hits a baseline runner.

Onto the refs in all I don't think they did too bad, but I have some complaints, the last foul on JO was garbage. The refs were basicly deciding the game. Oh well. Onto the scrappy Bobcats, look for Primoz with a vengence :shudder:  :uhoh:

Jermaniac

I loved how Jack played and with Jamaal's passing he will be even better right now he has to create most of the shots by him self. When Jamaal gets back that is when we will go on our winning streak.

I'm not sure Ron on Arenas would have been much more effective. On Jamison he'd be great however.

I am patiently waiting through DH not playing, he must be out of shape. But if the break comes around, and he's still getting DNP's, there will be hell to pay.

Hicks

He's not out of shape; Rick is going by matchups (plus he said Dave would have to play his way into the rotation; I assume in practice), Washington didn't play big most of the night.

Well, whoever was driving to the paint and getting fouled on the Wizards at the end. And now as I replay that back in my head it was Jamison. Hopefully we get Tinsley back on Wednesday. But, I am not bashing AJ and Gill I love how decent and well they played in Tinsley's absence. I hope Rick keeps Gill in the rotation, which I think he was but he wasn't playing him at the point, but I am probably wrong  I just want to go on a long win streak and at least get ourselves back in the playoffs. Oh man do I miss those 8 game or longer win streaks we had last year. You just can't take winning for granted. I find it kind of funny, when we lose I find I post a lot more and when we win I just read and post little after the game. The only loss that made me just "lurk" was the Piston one, I went there and got great seats and we put on a horrible game.
