Good thing the Pacers got into town early, because the weather's been so crappy lately with all the snow. My normal 45 minute commute to work turned into a 2 hr, 20 minute commute this morning...:grumble:

We miss Tinsley big time too.

OK... JO picked up the charge... but WTF kinda play was Gill trying to run anyway???!!!

DAMNIT>>>>> This team just isn't very good w/o Tinsley. I'm not gonna say they suck but they aren't very good without him.

BostonConnection
01-26-2005, 10:05 PM
Yeah, without the threat of Tins getting penetration into the Celts defense our outside shooting isn't going to be as effective, even with S-Jax back

Damnit I am sick of having ****ty point guards as our backups. Why the hell cant Donnie see that having a piece of crap as a backup costs us games. We suffered years of Travis Bad only to see AJ come in and be even worse!

Had they simply signed Rod Strickalnd we would be in a better position right now and frankly we would have been in a much better position against Detroit last year too.

thats a wives tale thats been exagerated as the years have went by... he did his scoring on jumpshooting and 1 dribble moves from the low post... he had that crazy awkward spin move from the left box into the paint for a little 6 foot jumper. He was burning that up in that series but I never see that move anymore. He looked like a special ed student when he did it but it was effective in that series.

Thats how I remember it anyway and ya know, that was a lot of joints ago.

I think it was like when you see a boxer with an awkward style make a good boxer miss; it was hard to predict Cro's moves at first.

Plus it's not like Robert Horry was Artest on defense or anything...;)

he was too big for fox and too quick for horry, he was unafraid and played great. an amazing confluence of events that made him a multi-millionaire and really hasnt done anything since. that too was many splifs ago though.

It's kinda sad that a team with Reggie Miller on it is such a crappy backcourt.

I personally think that they should remove Reggie from the starting lineup if he continues to give this weak effort... i love Reggie.. and i absolutely dont think it has to do with his age or something causing him to not score... he can score if he wants to like we have seen in earlier season.. its just that HE DOESNT WANT TO SHOOT MORE THEN 7 SHOTS!!!!????? if he dont Wants then take him out.. and bring Freddie in.. im sure he can do better then 7 shots... and i have been thinking.. it seems like Reggie looks for JO and S-JAX all the time... its like if Coach Rick Carlise told him to NEVER shoot.. instead pass them instead.... i dunno.. i mean.. Reggie should have more respect i think... he is OLD.. but you are Understamiting him... he is still very Accurate.. and can still create his own shots if he wants to... step back 3s and stuff like that... alot of things goin on in my mind rite now

Reggies trigger is a lot slower than it used to be. I think he just can't get the shot off before he's covered these days.

About two weeks ago he was burning up that floater on the right baseline.... where'd that go. That was a Reggie staple back in the day.

Rick didnt tell him not to shoot, our game plan is to give it to Jermaine and let him work. You are giving Reggie too much credit and acting like he is a damn all star.

an All Star? hahah.. Jermaine is an allstar! Reggie is a freakin Legend!! the funny thing is that people are underestimating him today so much.. its almost humoristic how you can see Reggie (just happens to be the greatest shooter in nba history) be Open behind 3PT Line and jermaine dont pass him... and dont tell me.. "reggie is old" "reggie cant hit shots anymore" "reggie cant score anymore".... its BS!! didnt you see when Jermaine was out what happend?
