I don't recall Kstat ever blasting indianapolis for whatever reason. If Kstat was out of line, I trust that Hicks would be all over it. I thought what was said from Sax and JO7 was unacceptable for this board as well. there really isn't any place for that here.

Although my son doesn't post here he likes to ocassionaly peak over my shoulder and read some of the posts with me. I, personally would have been embarrassed to have let him see some of the childish things that were said here.

Im not sure whats worse, the jerks that try to slander me through my city, or the cowards that simply support the slandering of others, but never say anything themselves.

Trust me, certain people here get away with FAR more than I could, which is somewhat understandable, but if I said the SAME things about Indy, I would have been banned for HALF of whats been said to me.

But please, continue to hide behind the 800 other pacer fans here. Its very similiar to the guy that threw the cup at Artest from a crowd of Pistons fans. If you attack me, Im all alone, but If I make the same ignorant generalizations about you, i also have to inadvertantly insult a lot of other good people here.

A lot of us come on here to talk about hoops/ the Pacers with our 'on-line friends.' If some of you want to say 'its just the internet'... well, maybe that's true for you. Maybe you don't care about anybody on here but yourself. But there's also a community of regulars that enjoy talking to each other, are civil with each other, are willing to 'agree to disagree' when necessary, and treat others with respect. And, at least from my perspective, its not a "closed-door clique" - I've got a couple new favorites that didn't come on board until after the brawl, for example.

One of my (and others') favorites got booted over the summer, and I miss his contributions - its not about popularity its about civility.

I haven't seen a single instance in my life where it was really neccessary to insult anybody (specifically or generically) just to make point. But if you guys can't learn to be civil then maybe you're not "real Pacers fans." Sorry, couldn't resist.

If stuff on an internet message board offends you then maybe you need to stay off. Go Read a book or something. The freedom of speech can come into play here. I can say whatever I want. Is it the fact that people are WAY to sensitive these days?
KStat can say some crap like "Put him In Jail...It will do him good" but If I say something about the city of detroit being a crime land (which it is...who wants to argue?) You label me?

The truth hurts like that other poster said...funny thing is when people make little comments about others and post doctored up pics..that goes without warning..I guess theres favorites here...

My line in the sand is when people curse up a storm, and/or flame other users. If you can't follow that simple rule, you don't have to be here. It's that simple.

The others give you a hard time and joke with you because of your past immature behavior, and their jokes do not go to the same level as some of the things you have said on this board. If you can't see the difference between what they've said and what you have, you still have some growing up to do.

Just like you've got the right to call that cop and @$$hole to his face, if you can take the consequences. Just because you have the right doesn't excuse you from using that right responsibly. Call the cop an @$$, and then hide that broken nose behind the constitution.

Come on HardDrive....KSTAT said that JOONEAL7 should be locked up in a slammer for asking for a wristband...and I find that highly offensive for a Piston fan, especially a Piston fan coming on a Pacer forum where he gloats about his team and his team's fans when it was Ben Wallace the punk thug who started the whole thing and then Piston fans threw a cup at Ronnie and continue to shower our players with debris and beer....and a season before they threw coins at Ronnie....

Hicks and everyone, I am not here trying to get banned...I want to get my viewpoints about the Pacers out and I would also like to acknowledge Detroit Piston fans are the most barbaric fans in the NBA and the city of Detroit leads the nation in rapes, arson, murders, child molestation, etc etc. That is completely fair game as we must look at the reasons why a lot of Detroit Piston fans are barbaric...I won't say they all are but truly there is a good size of fans like that...the way Detroit Piston fans act (threaten players, go on the court, etc.) are actions Pacer fans and even Laker fans in the arena would act like...they have class, which the city of Detroit seems to lack...I am not making this up, this is FACTUAL!

Because you're over-generalizing it to bash the entire city and its people. That's wrong and insulting to them, and just bad taste to the rest of us who don't stoop to that to insult a rival.

I am for one sick and tired Pisster fans have taken over this Pacer board and are allowed to say what they want to do and gloat their dirty Detroit Pistons when it is their team and fans that have effectively ruined our season....if I don't speak out, who will???
There's been plenty of talk on this. Fans of other teams (Kstat, Rimfire, dipperdunk, etc, etc) are allowed to post here as long as they follow our rules. Kstat can walk the fence some times when it comes to stirring the pot, but he never has gone too far to where we've needed to take action (Though I still wish he'd take it down a notch from time to time). If he kept pushing on the door for an extended stretch, then I would act but he doesn't do that. This is a Pacers forum first, BUT an NBA forum second, and others are welcome to post with us, even fans of that dirty team.

Look Hicks my friend,

I was not saying all Detroit fans were like that...I said some of them are and it is a higher % than around the league...I am not overgeneralizing, I am just presenting the facts....go in the middle of the night and walk in downtown Detroit and don't be scared...

One reason you don't act on KSTAT is because he has become a "friend" and has allowed Pacer fans to attack Pacer fans and he has successfully made this Pacer board accept him in here when he puts our team down and our fans down and gloats his Pistons...

Some things on here come across silly?

Hicks, they may come across silly to some...for example the Ron Artest haters and on that one post I had created...but if you just take a look at the poll, the majority of Pacer fans even on this board support me! THey are silent to post because of many reasons...one including my controversial tactics....being threatened to be banned....I have not insulted anyone personally on here but KSTAT had said JOONEAL7 should be locked behind a slammer...is that fair game?. He made that comment, and I have a right to defend a fellow Pacer fan by saying how can a Detroit fan say such a thing when Detroit Pisster fans on 11/19 were not arrested when they threw cup and debris on our players...it still shocks me they did not find those fans "As they said they would".....now they can go to their games and enjoy their selves knowing what they got away for....

I just can't believe a Pisster fans made such a comment when you take a look at statistics which brings their city in filth. What's wrong with saying that??? All I am saying, is true facts and I am allowed to post facts, right?

Come on Hicks,

What I feel is that certain threads some of those posters who do not agree on my side or other Pacer fans side automatically go to "be locked"....but if there is a thread on "how awful or evil Ron Artest is".....people can go bash, criticize beyond the boundaries and take it to limits on saying things about Ron....(he is a Pacer afterall)....but if Pisster fans say things to JOONEAL7 on how he should be locked up... or other criticizing things about our team, including supporting the actions of the Detroit Pissters on 11/19 and justifying the actions of their fans...things like this are allowed to pass....

I do not want a forum that has so many trolls like indystar.com....I am not a troll, I am here to post and support my team....but it does not feel like this is a Pacer forum like the old-school IndyStar.com days!

You didn't start a thread...you replied and posted on it...I have a fever of 102 I got to go eat soup now but just go look on the Pacer forum and review the nasty comments made....we must support our team and to many people on here seem to not support our team....especially after 11/19 we must stand together and support our boys.

I wanted to add that it's not that people are supporting everything you've said just by voting in that poll, Sassan. Most people here support Ron, and will vote as such. That doesn't confirm or deny they view it as extremely as you do. There's a difference.

Oh, sorry, I dont support Ron Artest so I dont support the Pacers

I forgot.

You can be civil and say you want Ron traded...but for you to say that "Ron's season long suspension" was not suficient is a tragedy....no one in the right mind can justify this season long suspension as being what he deserved. We need to look at precedence and punishments given in the past as well....Ron did not even punch the fan in the crowd like Vernon Maxwell did....Ron snapped but he had coins thrown at him a playoffs before....and he was attacked and had something thrown at his face....and look at the mitigating factors on Ben Wallace continuing the raucous and making it worse...the blame should go around the table but David Stern blamed Ron solely and allowed everyone else to get offf easy.

That's my point...most people on here support RON! The anti-Ron crowd doesn't want people to see that!

If you didn't know, I'm in the "anti-Ron" crowd these days, and it doesn't bother me. Although if it matters, I thought a year suspension was harsh. Some feel it was just fine and stated their case, though. I didn't agree but they made sense.

Anyone ever hear of acting like a responsible and respectable human being?

The childish antics in this thread are disgusting.

The continual bickering about "my city" is better than "your city" is ignorant.

Making vast and sweeping generalizations is flawed and very absurd.

Stupidity is prevalent throughout this world, and we are seeing some of it being posted in this thread.

Grow up. Damn.

on another off topic note...Tayshaun prince has got to be the goofiest looking person alive...

He's also quite the good basketball player and makes a fine professional player. Actually, he is the epitome of "professional".

for "freedom of speech," go to Indystar. Please. You can make all the child-mollesting and rape jokes you want there. You'll have a blast.

As I said, I didn't make any jokes, I just presented facts! THE TRUTH HURTS!

I will reply to the other replies later...i'm just too sick and my body is hurting.

First of all I respect this so I wil respond. No name calling (minus me not being in my right mind, but Ill let that pass)

First of all, I have always said I thought that Stern may have rushed his suspension.

I am in my right mind, and like I said I would have to consider sending a strong message. Now yes RA didnt punch the fan, but he crossed the line. You can never go into the stands. Thats like going into a bank with a ski mask and a gun and saying "well, I didnt rob them or anything" Now if you have a good lawyer you will get off, but you still had bad intentions and you will be punished.

I agree Ben didnt make the situation better, but what can we do about it. Ben over-reacted, and I think he lost a lot of repsect around the NBA. Will that effect him, who knows. But I know some fans lost some respect for him. Unfortiunetly, so did Ron Artest.

I have always agreed the blame should go around the table. I think the Pistons should have been fined, and I thought Ben Wallace got of light. but so is life. **** happens, you get screwed, you have to move on. I dont think Stern is the devil, and I will say maybe I see more than the average fan due to me being a entrepenour. I can see where Stern has to send a strong message to the sponsers that this type of behavior will not be tolerated at any time.

WIth that said, the blame has to go all the way around. That starts with Ron and Ben, to the officails, to security, etc.............

WOW, I respect that post...but that is not what you had said in previous posts my friend...you had said Ron's punishment was not enough and he should have gotten a life ban...but on this post you seem to think different.

I know Ron is a b!tch and Ron crossed the line, but David Stern crossed the line in not sharing blame all around the board and blaming Ron only and costing him 5 million dollars and a whole season suspension...

I understand those who want to get Ron traded...but I think the only way that is possible if we could get an allstar in return...even then I would not support it, as I think next year he will prove all the haters wrong...but even if you don't want Ron on the team I do not see how logically you can support the season long ban as it hurts the Pacers organization and is truly unjust.

No conspiracy here. I dont care if people like him or hate him. I only care about one thing when it comes to the Pacers: winning. trust me, I have been a Redskins fan to long. I dont care about individual awards, show me the playoffs and a ring.

That's my point!!!! I do not know if we can win a championship without Ron...and I have been a Pacer fan since I was 9 and have seen us come so close so many times...and I think with Ron he can lead us to the promise land...Ron is sooooo good...he dominates defensively and his offensive game has been unbelievable this year...we need Ron back in order to win a title...I hope we do it this year but with Ron this team becomes so much better.

My city is not Indianapolis...I have never been to Indiana...I live in Orange County, CA.

I am not making vast generalizations...I am pointing out statistics in how crime filthy Detroit is and that can be due to reason of a bad culture over there; so I have the right to point out Detroit leads the country in rapes, murders, arson, child mollestations, etc etc etc....and because of their bad culture, it is reflected in their basketball games as Detroit fans are known throughout the NBA by various NBA Players in being the most disrespectful and barbaric NBA fans that exist...name me one city that is worse than them.

Can you give me any example of where Tayshaun Prince has conducted himself outside the bounds of being a true professional? From what I've seen (and I even watched him in his days at Kentucky, because my wife is a huge UK fan), Prince is a 100% nice guy and a class guy ON and OFF the court.

What is with your hate of the entire Pistons roster? That hate is ill-advised and seems to be misplaced. The Pistons didn't cause the fight between the Pacers' players and the Pistons' fans. It was a bad situation that went from bad to worse to worst in about thirty seconds.

Ok. Since you have statistics, then give them here. Expound on your evidence that Detroit leads the country in rapes, murders, arson, child molestations, etc. Provide links or evidence to show that Detroit is "filthy".

Until then, do not go around making claims such as you have done. Once you have presented the evidence for your claims, then your opinion/take on the subject is valid.

You may not know Stryder, but I'm in law enforcement. Crime in the country is measured by something called the UCR, which is uniform crime reporting. When somebody makes a police report, they have to check off certain identifiers. These identifiers go into a national datebase. It's a way to figure out national statistics for grant money, etc.

I can tell you from my experience, Detroit, for the past 10 years, has always ranked in the top 3 for most dangerous city in terms of crime. Property crimes, such a burglaries, stolen cars, etc, fluctuate, but in terms of violent crimes againt persons, rape, murder, etc, they remain consistantly among the highest in the nation.

I don't know whta this thread was originally about, but take it from a professional of 18 years, Detroit DOES consistantly lead the country in rapes, assaults, etc. Easily a top 5 city every year with alarming consistancy.

Okay. I've heard all the testimony and will be reviewing the evidence. A ruling will be brought forth in 7 days. Until such time, I am placing a gag order on all parties who contributed to this hearing. :tsk:

WOW!! I just read this whole thread and XXSASSONXX post were deleted?? While JOneals can still be seen.

So XX is gone, while JO is just suspended?

Anyway, very funny thread. It's fun how the haters try to haton Detroit. Maybe it's because Detroit HAS...........

The North American Auto Show every January
Detroit has the 2005-2006 SUPERBOWL at the Ford Feild
Detroit has the 2004 All-star game in the MLB
Detroit has the Final Four coming.

Big thangs, in a real Big city!!

I still contend that people cannot go around making claims about a subject without providing evidence and/or links. Simple rational thought.
