...When O'Neal was activated from the suspended list, the Pacers waived forward Marcus Haislip. ...

Well, I guess it's better than John Edwards being vice president.

Edwards should have been cut, he doesnt do anything good and every time he played he never showed anything good. At least when Slip played he looked good at times.

Why oh why is Edwards being kept???

Even when team had only 6 players he played little. What besides being a slow 7' are his assets?

With Jermaine, Jeff,David and Scot ,he'll never see the court. Why didn't they just put him on injured list with a pinched butt muscles from sitting on the bench?

Since his contract must be guaranteed on Jan.15th , he'll prob be waived around the 12th,(i guess?) .

Haislip looked lost but he has athletic ability ,something Edwards lacks.

Oh well we are just talking about 12th man on current roster.

Chances are Haislip will be picked up , probably by the Bobcats.

I'm quite surprised. I really thought Haislip would stay and Edwards would be cut.

Maybe we need a player like Edwards on the roster so that Bender has someone he can 'own' in practice and maintain his lofty status as the
greatest practice player (and beat Larry Bird in HORSE) ever. Plus, no chance... hmmmm not much chance... errrr... only a 50-50 chance Edwards could hurt Bender in practice.

it's jjust sad to see haislip go...

he clearly outperform edwards, i don't see why pacers want him more!!...im pretty sure he'll be picked up soon by another team.

This is a end of the bench decision, why pay out more money than you have to for your 15th man?

Should've waived Edwards.

But Will, we don't even have to have a 15th man. Why not just leave the spot open and pay NOTHING? ...Assuming we aren't going to play the guy anyway?

Of course looking at this from another angle... it is GRRRRRRRRRRRReat for -Edwards- to be making these bucks and practicing with the Pacers. Unfortunately for the fans this is pro basketball where it does matter what the team spends and where it goes on the court and we don't appreciate seeing money thrown at non-performers or as basketball welfare....

You know... if I really focused on this I think I'd quickly get pi$$ed off. I'm trying to just not focus on it but it is getting harder and harder...
