The union that represents NBA referees is removing several features from its Web site and changing the Internet address after complaints from the league. The National Basketball Referees Association is removing the Rules and Ask-A-Ref portions of the site. "The NBA felt that its referees should not publicly comment on, or offer interpretations of, the league's playing rules, and asked us to stop doing so," union spokesman Lamell McMorris said. "In the interest of getting along, we agreed."

What possible reason could there be for this?

There is no good reason. It's been about two years since I seriously even considered the 'conspiracy' talks, but this looks really bad.

This is just another example of A**hole Stern's attempt to be all powerful and eliminate anyone from questioning his authority or decisions. He tries to control the media, the players, the coaches and now the refs.

You are not allowed to dispute or question anything he says or does. My guess is he will be after Hicks and Able soon.

Well many may not realize it, but able and I have already been in court twice fighting the NBA, which wants to censor this website. :D

I hate to say it, but I TOLD YOU SO.

If you can't see now that something is screwy in NBA Land, with this, the hushing of the NBA anchors, and the unbalanced punishments of the aftermath of "The Brawl," then you're being extremely naive.

Stern needs to go, NOW. As Chauncey would say, "I wouldn't mind if he was carjacked and beaten."

Darned am I hesitant to agree, but darned do I agree/

It is obvious the NBA is on a crossroad, he has done his job and now is nothing but a loose canon with a superiority-complex.

I can not see how the owners can take this kind of risks with their teams/investments.

I've seen the new Pacer jersies already, they kick ***. The new logo kinda sucks though. The Cubs win the title in 2008. And Jesus is due back in 2025. You hear all the good info when you're head of PD. :D
