View Full Version : How about a viewing party for the March 10th game at Miami?

Was watching highlights of the Feb 1 game and it got me thinking, why not have a PD get together for the March 10th game? Game is on a Sunday at 6:00pm. Apparently it's a little far for a A55/G2 invasion (though I'd love to join the adventure if it happens), so why not? It'd (obviously) be in the Indy area. Game won't go too late that you are burnt out for work/school the next day. What'd'yall think?

Maybe we can get a group of the people in South Florida.

I actually will be back at home (Carmel area) that week. Which part of Carmel do you live in?

I'm just north of 116th and Hazel Dell. I was thinking Scotty's would be a good place for it, but depends on who all wants in.

You guys wanna fly to Seoul for a viewing? haha. I sadly will be watching the game as I usually do, on International League Pass during my lunch break, haha.

Don't threaten me with a good time.

Bump.

Still thinking Scotty's on the North side (3905 E. 96th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46240), unless there are any significant objections. If we want it to be more formal would we want to rent out a room or just ask ahead for several tables? Also if people could PM me I could get a list together to see how many to expect.
Also this doesn't have to be totally formal, could just show up and get Pacer crazy with a bunch of other people :buddies:

Might I add the emoticons on this forum are top notch

Calling all Sacramento/Bay Area Pacers' fans.

I was reading the Indy viewing party thread and it got me thinking... I see all kinds of people post from this area, why not have our own viewing party for this game? We could even have some type of competition with the Indy Viewing Party.

I am from the northern-Sacramento area, but would be willing to meet as far as Vacaville/Fairfield. If there is interest from only one group (Sac and not Bay or Bay and not Sac), we could host is closer to the one destination. It would be great to meet some west-coast fans.

I know it's a stretch, but anyone interested? PACERS UNITE!!

Hmm I might consider it if we can get a decent sized group. The 10th is a Sunday and we are in the middle of Tahoe ski season, so traffic on 80 west will be absolutely brutal coming back to SF (or leaving Sactown). Sure you can't make it down to SF? :)

On the other hand I wouldn't mind having PD get togethers in Sactown and/or Golden State, but that would be next season I guess.

Curious to see what CablecKC or others have to say.

I mentioned Vacaville/Fairfield so I could avoid the 80 and just use the 505, but I certainly understand your concerns. 2.5 hours to drive 40 miles can be maddening.

Why was my thread merged to this one?!? I just lost all exposure in the title. Thanks for nothing mods.

Bump:

Was anything ever settled upon about a get-together/viewing in the Carmel or Indy area?

Sadly I got no RSVP DMs, so I'm thinking no :(

Unfortunately, Carmel is just a little farther than I want to drive home from after either victory celebrating or sorrows drowning. I think we're going to walk up to our local place where we can stagger home should occasion require.
