Does Paul George have a contract to wear a certain brand? Not that he has shoes named after him, just an agreement with Nike, etc?

Sorry if this is a thread somewhere else.

Yeah I think he has some sort of deal with Nike. He's mostly been wearing NikeID Hyperdunks this year, right?

Not really true. Most do (even DJ Augustin has a deal with Jordan brand), but someone from the Pacers said earlier this season that Gerald Green didn't have a deal and bought his own shoes. He's worn everything from Jordans to Reebok Kamikaze's (last night) this season.

GG may not get paid to wear them. But I really doubt he buys his own shoes. Hell I doubt Ben has had to spend a dime on shoes.

He wears Nikes, IDK if he has a deal. If he does, it gives him nothing. My buddy Josh is always giving him shoes to wear, and Josh has no affiliation with Nike.

Someone with direct access to the team said he buys his own shoes. I'll take their word for it.

His Nikes he has been wearing this season are the Hyperdunk + 2012's. He or someone designs them on Nike iD. I just made a pair identical to them. Plus he wears size 12.

I understand someone at PS&E said GG buys his own shoes. It might even be true. But if it is, it's terrible business practice by the shoe companies. As long as you're not in a suit all season, providing free shoes to a player costs you very little in terms of material cost, and at the bare minimum gets your shoe/logo on regional/national TV every once in a while. If you're a rotation player, which Green would have been when the season started, it's a no-brainer.

Holy crap, I wear the same shoe size as an NBA player.

On topic, wouldn't be surprised to see PG with a shoe deal soon. He's rotated a lot of shoes, I think Nicekicks.com said at one point he was wearing Kobe's. I know I've seen him in Jordan 11's.

I need new basketball shoes badly so if he does get his own shoe I will purchase them ASAP. I remember saving up money all year for the JO shoes.

What? Size 12? PG has some small feet for a 6'10" dude.

And if his feet were bigger he wouldn't be as good on D.

If that's really the case, and Green has no agreement in place with any of the shoe companies, I would say that Gerald Green needs a new agent.

Then I remember we gave him three years at $10.5 million...

He (GG) wore some shoes this year that were given to PG by a friend of mine.
PG didn't want them because they looked purple. Remember back when he was in the lineup and you may have said why purple shoes? Those were them.

Paul wore Kobe's last season. He wore one pair of Jordan Spizike's this season as well. The pair and colorway he had on can be purchased here:
