I think is better just to open a power rankings thread with multiple power rankings instead of opening a new thread all the time.

Last Week: 20 Have we been too hard on these guys when they had to start the season with 12 of the first 18 games on the road ... all without Danny Granger? Don't think so. Not when the Pacers have already played Washington, Toronto and Sacramento twice each as well as Charlotte and New Orleans.

Indiana Pacers (7-8)
Credit Frank Vogel for giving the Pacers an identity while the face of their franchise is sidelined with an injury. Indiana averaged the seventh-most points per possession last season but has plummeted to 29th this season. But Vogel is helping Indiana compensate by trotting out a lanky, gritty defense that's giving up the second-fewest points in the league, and that's keeping them in games. And when you stay in games, you occasionally get lucky, like George Hill did with his last-second layup to beat the Lakers in Los Angeles.

Hard to believe injured Danny Granger was solely responsible for edge Pacers displayed all of last season. But more you see Pacers without him, more that seems to be the case.

I agree about that quote. Can't go easy on this team. They have beaten maybe 2 teams above 0.500. Road or not, Pacers have been playing lottery pick teams and losing.

Schedule is a bit harder right now, that started with the Warriors. We'll see what this group is made of.

We've played better ball over the last 6-8 games and we're about to start probably the most home heavy schedule of any team over the next 3 months. If we can get to 10-10 before Sunday's showdown with the Thunder in OKC I think we'll be just fine.

Only two teams in the East have a better record over the last 10 games.
