View Full Version : Funny thing about that Celtics/Nets fight...

The NBA says it wants to crack down on the flopping. Well that whole thing between the Celtics and the Nets started with a blatant flop by Garnett.

The replay shows so well that Humphries had almost no physical contact with Garnett on the play and he was clearly flopping to ensure the foul call.

Chances Garnett gets fined for flopping? Zero.

IMHO, inconsistent and inaccurate officiating is the number one problem the NBA faces with product quality. NUMBER ONE. Its why I am dispassionate about the NBA and even my Pacers. And to that end, flopping is the number one problem the NBA faces with its officiating.

When will officials realize that an awkward shot or an awkward fall after a shot doesn't automatically mean a foul?

Refs are not used to old stars like Garnett being shut down by guys like Humphries. At some point, Garnett will not get these calls. Rondo doesn't like to see it either. If the star had been on the other end of that, nothing would have happened....
