I'm going to riot if Lance Stephenson isn't chosen for the all-star team this year

Clearly last year was a fluke and Gerald Green will be looking to join the D-league once we can sign a free agent to replace him

We can clearly tell Paul George is the player he's going to be from here out. He's already 22 years old and there's no chance he's going to get any better throughtout his career. Hopefully we trade him at the end of the season for draft picks

Vogel can't run an offense. We need to start a petetion addressed to the Dallas Mavericks to let Jim O'Brien take over as head coach in Indiana ASAP

Roy Hibbert's contract is the worst in Pacers history. There's no chance he's going to get better this season offsensively. It's clear he will continue to shoot 34% the remainder of the season. No surprise after he's clearly done nothing but eat cheetos and watch Gangham Style this summer. We'd better trade him for second round picks.

Yeah I suck at this sort of thing ... quick, someone make a good post! (we do need a new kneejerk reaction thread though)

Just messing around, and that was the first thing that came to mind with respect to the post(er)s that have been so dramatic and adamant about the doom that the franchise faces. I can imagine them reacting in this fashion.

After pre-season:

Granger is out? Big deal, have you seen Green play? He can easily make up the 16-18 points we'll miss from Granger. In fact, he's probably better.

Now:

Wow, Green is the worst free agent signing of the summer. He clearly doesn't belong in the NBA...D-League at best.

Rawle Marshall at small forward was our only shot at the Finals. How did we let him go???

Finally... This thread was long overdue...

Admins... It's time for the biggest merger in PD history... Just pull every thread from the last two weeks in...

"We really upgraded the bench this summer. Ian is huge and Green is sixth man of the year material."

5 games later...

"Green is not NBA material ... in fact, he doesn't even deserve to live"

We roll back the clock to what we had last year and dump all these "upgrades" because they all suck. Oh, and Frank sucks and Hibbert sucks so bad he couldn't come off the bench for the Bobcats.

Bench Hibbert. Start Mahimi and play him 35+ minutes a night.

Wait - does green in the knee-jerk reaction thread mean you're serious?

Why Vogel hasn't quit or been sacked yet?
Roy should also tear up his max contract today.

I do hope Vogel is on the hot seat.

Pacers are a very good team to play this badly. More importantly, you can't win back fans when the team looks like garbage out on the floor. Even if they win games, it's just not fun to watch.

I say all this and I really like Vogel. But something has to give, and for me, Vogel just isn't a head coach right now.

SVG or Sloan.

3 team trade:

IND gets: Monta Ellis, Mbah a Moute
DEN gets: D. West, M. Dunleavy
MIL gets: D. Gallignari, Tyler Hansbrough, C. Brewer

Our offensive and frontcourt defensive woes are solved!

I'm not sure if Denver wants West they already have somebody better, now if you think about doing an straight trade with the Bucks I think you can do Danny+Tyler for Monta+Gooden.

You mean Faried? He's not better than West, can't score well enough. West would give them a consistent inside scoring threat.

How many more games do we have to wait to change the name of this to just the "reaction thread 2012-2013"?

You really think that sloppy tub changed his stubborn opinion of our team? He'd just be the new, improved JOB. JOB 2.0.

Would upping the tempo on the offensive end make any difference given the make up of this Team....especially in the 2nd unit?

I don't know...I'm just asking.

Also....I'm all for giving Plumlee some minutes. His energy and willingness to fight for the ball seems infectious.

On yes he is better than West 13.9 and 10.8 so far this year, maybe West for Chandlers long term contract and another piece?

Haha, I'm just trying to imagine Roy hauling his *** around the court in an up tempo offense. We might get 15 minutes out of him...maybe

All I am saying is that this Team better figure out what the heck is wrong with themselves before December 1st. I don't want my only FRAKKIN Pacer game of the year to be a blow out.

Is it possible to run a more up tempo offense with the 2nd unit and than play a more slow-it-down-for-Roy-and-West offense for the Starting unit?

I guess, but I'm not sure we have the players at the moment to execute either system.

while it is still early in the season, there is no question this team is in free fall. i hear about when granger gets back, it will make things much better. yeah perhaps. however, he doesn't return any sooner than just before all-star break (and that is if things go as well as hoped with his recovery). and it will be about a month before he is in true game shape. unless a MAJOR turnaround takes place that i am not seeing, this team isn't going to the playoffs.

After what I saw tonight, it feels like we could be on the verge of a losing streak like the JOB/Troy Murphy led Pacers teams used to have.

We definitely don't need Granger back Sam Young is far superior. He only had 14 points but could have easily scored another 20-30

Nothing....

Still nothing...

My knees are no longer reacting. They are simply hurting because of being beaten.

We have 2 more games than Chicago. If they played those games before our next match and won, we would be tied with the same record. Chicago has played so far just 17 games on the road and their next two are at home whereas we have played 23(!) on the road and just began our West road trip...
Stern once again favours a big market team as much as he can that had to start the season without their superstar. It's a conspiracy, I'm telling ya!

I don't care what our record is, a few lucky bounces are the difference in our record now and a .500 team struggling for an 8 seed.

I thought it when the thread was started and still do. This isn't really a knee jerk reaction thread, it's more like a parody of a knee jerk reaction thread.

Yeah... Haha you could say a few bounces the other way and we'd have less than 5 losses. Good lord, I hate that kind of purely speculative jabber.

The funny thing is that Chicago is doing much better away from home
