Going 10-15 over these 25 games would put us in tremendous position I think by putting us 17-17 overall when JO gets back, and that's if his suspension isn't appealed successfully.

Here are the next 23, 10 home 13 away. Where do we get the other 9 wins we need? It's going to be very difficult, but it can be done. As fans, we need to do everything we can over each of the next 10 home games to keep the intensity level up for the Pacers. Every game will count at the end of the year and if we can help get them through the next 23 games in position where we might be able to grab a good seed before the playoffs, I think this might be one of the best sport stories EVER by season end (I think we could still realistically win a championship without Artest).

we better mop up at home. the crowd energizes these guys.

the most likely wins (11)-- adding in Xmas vs. Detroit due to high motivation factor!

I think we can pull out 9 more wins in that stretch. Not much more than that, though.

When JO and Jax are back, though...

I think we can still win 45-46 games this year and make the Finals.

I agree with that assessment. The Pacers will win a few they shouldn't and will lose some we think they have a good change at winning. All we can do is keeping supporting the team.

Just a reminder to everyone, the Houston Rockets won their second championship in the mid 90's as the 8th seed. They put it together at the end of the season...that is when it matters.

6th seed, I think. But the point is still a good one.

I said they would win 15 of the next 30. I'm beginning to think they will win closer to 17 of the 30 now. This team has heart, is deep - possibly the deepest team in NBA history, plays agressive defensive and plays within themselves. Add in the 'us against the world' mentality and you have a team that is going to be in every game. I've never been more inspired by a team than I was Saturday and last night. They showed me a lot.

You know, even going .500 isn't really going to be necessary. At the moment, Boston is the eighth seed in the East at 4/5 (.444). Right now we're 8/3. If half way through the season, if these numbers hold, we could be 20/25 and still be in the playoffs. Beside, when JO gets back, we're going to make a big run and make up at least 6-7 games on whoever is lurking at the bottom of the pack. If we can just win, say, 7 of the next 33 games, we're in the hunt.

And just imagine how charged JO is going to be after resting his knees for half a season, doing the equivalent of another offseason of strength training and practice. PLUS being about as ready to make the rest of the NBA eat dirt as any player in history.

By the way, don't you just love the fact that Rick just shrugs and focuses on the players on the floor? Zeke would be so busy whining and complaining and making excuses, he would hardly have had time to mention them.
