Hi guys,

First off this is early, but seeying that the IKL started opening last month with mailing in the definitive summerrosters which led to some activity and atleast one trade, I thought why not slowly get things lined up here aswell.

This is mainly a friendly plee to our KL Commissioner to remind us all what everyone's squad looks like as of now and who has what pick. For me it would help bigtime as I can start looking at what direction I would like my team to go and who to approach if I see something that I think has potential.

Also do we have the same "system" working for us with regards to the summerroster (except that they have 8 spots and a 4 round draft starting this coming season)? Would it be good to start asking people to post their summerrosters with like a deadline of say september 1st? Are we allowed to start talking trades with this in mind and basically open the season on the trading front until the trading deadline is upon us in february next year?

Also this could be good to get an indication to see which owners are staying and which are leaving.

Just some basic food for thought.

If you lose any owners and need one, I'd be happy to join! I'm in the ABA an IKL leagues and loved it, last year.

Welcome to the Ninth Season of ABA Keeper league: Season 2012-13

For a variety of reasons, I won’t be back as Commish, or as a team owner. If the league is to continue, someone will need to take over. If you want to take over as commish, or co-commish with someone else, let me know. (I'll send out a group email with rosters and a copy of this post tomorrow) In the meantime….

Belated congrats to Mourning (league champ!) and Pig Nash (Runner-up!) for a tight finals that went to the final game.

Important date to remember: The real NBA starts October 30, 2012.

Right now, what needs to be hashed out is the proposal put forth during last season that needs to be addressed that Mourning mentioned in the first post in this thread:

Do you want to go to a weighted draft similar to NBA or keep things as they were?

you'll be missed Skaut! thanks for your work last season!

To answer the topic at hand - I would go for a weighted draft similar to NBA.

Looks like we're down an owner and a commish. Boo-urns. I call dibs on all his good players! I vote weighted.

Man! Thanks for the congrats, Scott, but man losing an owner and our Commish, and a good one at it, in one stroke sucks!

I'm fine with how things were, but I wouldn't be opposed to making some changes either.

I'm not available to commish a 2nd leaguer.... I hope somebody can step in in the next week or so to begin the process of getting things lined up for a 12-13 season.
