Looks like all the top tier pgs are gone, and we prolly gonna stick with Hill/DC, which I am happy with. I believe that DC is gonna come back with his best season yet and really deliver for us this year, if, IF we get the other pieces we need.

Jeremy Lin has accepted a three-year offer sheet from the Rockets with a team option for a fourth season. The deal will pay Lin $5 million Year 1, $5.2 million in Year 2 and $9.3 million in Year 3.

The Knicks are expected to match the offer sheet regardless of the amount.

"They will match any offer on Lin up to one billion dollars," said one source to Marc Stein.

I dont think they will match considering they just got Kidd and lost landry leaving a hole in the middle.

They will match. Lin is worth too much off the court not to match that. I saw one tweet quoting an NBA GM saying that New York will match and Houston knows it--they are just signing him to that backloaded contract to **** the Knicks over in a couple of years. Gotta love Darryl Morey.

I heard an interview on ESPN Radio where Kidd said he looked forward to coming in and mentoring Lin.

19 mill for basically 25 games work....

Has anyone ever had such a easy path to getting a big payday in the NBA?

Even Jerome had to play a couple years to get his massively overpaid contract.

The rumor was that it was his one Sonic Playoff series in his contract year that sealed the deal with Zeke.

I'd argue that the undrafted player's route (slog of summer league, training camp, D-League) is a lot harder than basically being drafted for being a 7 footer. But I suppose it's arguable either way.

Lin's guaranteed money is also a lot less than what Jerome James got.
