They can only do so much when the player has his heart set on a certain place.

Another player that is added to the myth that if we have money they still come...

There's plenty of other fish in the sea. I've never been a fan of his game. He can knock down the mid-range jumper but he's merely average at every other facet of the game.

Makes you wonder how we even got David West.

I have a feeling market value determined that. Boston offered a deal but I dont know if we actually know what they offered, probably more years for less per year but bigger overall deal. He took short deal in hopes of bigger pay day in future.

Remember he was coming off of a devastating knee injury.

Lowballing him too, he just didn't have a better choice, it was either Celtics or us.

I think Antwaan Jamison is a better, albeit older, player. If they haven't reached out to him, I hope they do soon.

Jamison is terrible we dont need anymore old players

How many old players do we have? Jamison would provide a quality low-post scoring threat to pair with Plumlee.

West was a huge risk coming off of ACL surgery and wasn't game tested on the floor yet! Could have been a 20 million dollar burn! Larry took a huge gamble and won!

He isn't terrible and you can't ignore his experience. Having him come off the bench behind Granger/West would be pretty solid if he could be grabbed cheap.

I'm also interested in Grant Hill.

Bass played well in the playoffs. He wasn't a good fit here because of David West. Bass is kind of a poor mans David West

We are kind of a veteran team, and Antwaan would fit in. I think he would fall in line and really help out

It's resorted to this? People panicking because we didn't get Brandon stinking Bass?

People went into this off-season wanting miracle work done and are now panicking. Just like last year. What a disaster this season was.

You don't know that.

Hell, the one contract we DO know about is Hill, and he got overpaid.

Actually, it was said we offered Nash 10m per year, and he went to LA for less. That's hardly low ball.

I never wanted Bass, the only big man I ever wanted from this free agent class is Kaman and he's still out there. He isn't my first free agent choice but Kaman would improve this team. Keep Roy and sign Kaman.

I want Kaman, but as a backup.

I don't want him replacing Roy, I'd like to see him getting all the backup 5 minutes as well as 10-15 pf minutes alongside Roy. He's too good to not give 30 minutes to.

You don't know we are not. Just because it was reported by someone doesn't make it so, agents play games all the time trying to bump the value.

It's either we are lowballing players or we are such a undesirable destination that we can attract no one, other than the guy who was already from Indianapolis.

I mean we have been tied to every single free agent out there so far and we have not landed a single one of them. My guess is we are trying to pay penny's on the dollar for players. But like you said, I don't know.

Sure there could be other reasons but these two are the most logical at the moment.

Or there are situations merely MORE attractive than Indiana. That's another valid possibility. So given that and the fact that it's more logical what's being reported is more likely true than the exact opposite, I feel comfortable in disagreeing with you.
