How Asik got more money than him? two years and 13 for a guy that averaged 9.6 and 7.3 not bad.

Free-agent center Spencer Hawes has agreed to a two -year, $13.1 million contract extension with the Philadelphia 76ers, Hawes' agent, Greg Lawrence, told Yahoo! Sports.

Hawes, 24, helped the Sixers reached the Eastern Conference semifinals. Before an Achilles injury sidelined him midway through the season,

Hawes was averaging 12 points and 12 rebounds to help fuel the Sixers' early season surge in the Atlantic Division. His resigning was one of the top offseason priorities of general manager Rod Thorn and coach Doug Collins.

The Milwaukee Bucks made a strong bid for Hawes, but he decided to return to the 76ers. The Miami Heat, Minnesota Timberwolves and Portland Trail Blazers also showed interest.
Hawes averaged 9.6 points and career bests of 7.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists. He was the 10th overall pick to the Sacramento Kings in 2007, and came to the Sixers as part of a trade in 2010.

Great deal for them. He had decent production during the regular season before he got injured, and he's only 24. A 2-3 years contract is what you wanna offer for guys like him. Though my guess is he could have made a lot more..

Yep, the guy I'd love to have had, he has had injuries, but he's very productive and still improving. He's who I had hope the Pacers slipped in and got, guess not.
