I feel like they've changed their uniforms in their short existence more than the Pacers have in their whole history...

...AAAAND the verdict: They're ugly. The orange just seems completely arbitrary/forced in and it looks WAAAY too similar to the Dallas Mavs.
This franchise just seems completely confused with both their team and identity.

Its a cross between Dallas and OKC. But an improvement from their previous uni's.

You know you have a bad team when Gerald Henderson and two mediocre rookies pose for new uniforms, while other teams have the James, Durants, Melos, or even Grangers.

I like the change... their old jerseys were just hideous. Personally, I've been hoping that Jordan would rename the team and give it a UNC look, but this is an improvement for sure.

Nobody wearing that uniform should be smiling, even for a photo after the season they just had.

Michael Jordan didn't want to pay "Bob"

I'm sure they are trying to transition away from the Robert Johnson Bobcats. [think that is the old owners name.] Bobcats was the greatest team name of all time, but it doesn't make much sense when your owner's name is Mike. maybe mikecats.

These unis won't last either. They're trying to get the hornets back the second new Orleans changes their name.

Kemba got Henderson to give up 15?

Crap. They're not ugly or anything, just, ...whatever. I hate how bland most NBA unis are. That's a big reason I want a uniform change for us, specifically an updated FloJo, or hell the ABA throwbacks we wore this year (which were seriously gorgeous).

If/when we change our unis I hope we dump the navy blue. There are SO many teams that use it predominately, there's really not an NBA team I can think of off the top of my head that uses a real straight royal blue as a color anymore, not even the Knicks. Royal/yellow (it ain't gold)/white is just a great color scheme, I hope we go back to it.

The Warriors just switched back to royal/yellow/white.

Yeah, well, the Warriors are perpetually terrible. So screw em. Besides, we had that scheme first. I think.

Now the Nets new logo/jersey is awesome.

Bobcats...not much you can do with a lousy name like that. I'd have killed the Bobcats and come up with something different.

Charlotee Aviators sounds much cooler.

Dame Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber fans rejoice!

It must be quite intimidating to play against guys with "CATS" written on their jerseys.

Didn't they narrow down their name choices to the Bobcats or the Flight? I thought Charlotte Flight would have been awesome but of course the owner decided to go the other route...

The Lovin' Spoonful could probably beat the Bobcats.

The colors on their uniforms (blue, orange, white) reminds me of Illinois.

I didn't know they thought about a name change. Anything is better than the Cats. How can a professional team be taken serious when they are named after cats...which are super lazy and skittish.

Wish they'd go with a unique look like an all orange uni, ala Syracuse.

Really?

Thought they would try to make some cool uniforms, something to get the fans excited about, they are definitely off the mark.

Even though they look like the Mavs uniforms, I like the away jerseys. Now the home jerseys...

I read an article here this morning that said a rebrand has been planned since Jordan took over. Notice the introduction of the Carolina blue and the deduction of some of the hideous orange. Additionally, the old shade of blue for the logo was hard for manufacturers to replicate and produce merchandise, where navy blue is cheaper and easier to come by. And people here have a hard time wearing the dull blues, grays, and orange from the previous branding (while the old purple and teal is surprisingly nostalgic...and I love it as well for that reason).

Kemba back to 15 and Henderson to 9 now (which although not important, makes it look like Jemario Moon isn't around anymore).

A name change has been widely discussed here, with the Flight being a heavy favorite (after a switch back to the Hornets of course). But for those of you who question the cat thing, the PA announcer at games often refers to the team as the Cats, and the community projects from the team are generally under the name "Cats Care." Additionally, there is a sort of cat theme in the city, with the Panthers and the lightrail also being called CATS. I want a switch back to the Hornets, but the Bobcats name is not quite as random as it seems (and yes, it all started with Bob Johnson).

They're certainly better than what they had, but that's not saying much.

That's why the Vancouver Les Miserables didn't pan out.

Anyone know if this is their new logo? http://nba.imageg.net/graphics/category_images/nba_bobcats_hdr_player.jpg It shows as this on the NBA store. I kind of like the silver actually.

They have several logos they've been using, but mainly the one with the front facing cat (with basketball on the right side of its face) and then a capital C with a crown on it (Charlotte is known as the Queen City). I hadn't seen the one you posted used yet, and it would honestly surprise me if they went back to that.

Don't know what their old jersey's looked like, but it looks like they are just another team that wanted to modernize their look instead of trying to find a classic look that would last for a long time. I wish sports teams would stop caring so much about having a modern look, and just start trying to create their own look and stick with it.

Their old jerseys were bright orange with a "Twins type" script and the first MJ era was baseball style pinstriped grotesqueness.
