Keep on scoring 20 with efficiency please!

If Danny finally gets into a good scoring groove we'll be scary, i'd like to see him get on a roll headed into the playoffs.

We're already one of the better teams in the East despite Granger's offensive troubles.

I'd like to see a larger sample size of 20+ point games from Lou before we compare his record to DG. ;)

We are 1-0 when Barbosa scores 12 points.

We are 5-0 on the season when Lou Amundson grabs 6 or more rebounds. 8-1 when George Hill has at least 3 assists. 8-0 when Hill has at least 2 steals. 8-3 when Foster has played, 19-9 when Hill has played, and 8-1 when Tyler grabs 7+ rebounds.

Danny played well, but 41% shooting isn't exactly efficient imo.

25 points on 17 shots isn't incredible, but not bad. Change a couple of those no-calls to foul shots and the percentages look just fine.

The percent is slightly below average, but 25 pionts on 17 shots is actually really good

Yes, 25pts on 17 shots is technically efficient, but I prefer an efficient shooting % over pps given that officiating is an unknown variable.

You can't just take into account FG% tho, FT% and 3PT% are very important

I think Tyler getting on a groove is just as (if not more) important for us than Danny getting on a groove.

What you said means two things:

1) We need Danny's scoring (well, duh)

2) Danny is not scoring well against the upper echelon of the league.

I don't have much hope of that happening. He shoots a lot of air balls.

His play has greatly improved since getting into it with Dwight Howard last week.

All I know is we need Hibbert to go back to the aggressive, man eating Center he was at the begining of the year. Where did that go Roy? We are fortunate to win when he doesn't play well, even though he had solid stats I would say last night is one of those games he didn't play as good as he needs to be for us to win on a regular basis. But Tyler, Hill, Barbosa and Lou turned out to be big time coming off the bench. Lou being put in there because of his hard nosed defense and rebounding he brought.

If LA learned anything last night, it should have been don't tick off Indiana. Got into it a couple times, then we floored them.. Then played nice afterwards so it didn't look so bad in the end, but we had our way with them.

I think it gets overlooked sometimes because this Pacers team has so many players that can lead us in scoring from to game but Danny Granger usually has the biggest impact on whether or not the Pacers win.

If Danny is playing well (I don't just mean scoring), the Pacers are a much better team. When he's hitting his shots and moving without the ball it takes a lot of pressure off of Hibbert and West in the post. It also puts pressure on the opponent's defense because he commands so much attention.

I think the most important indicator for success for us is assists. I don't know what our record is when we get 19+ assists but I'd be willing to bet we've only lost a game or two. I'd also be willing to bet we are about .500 when our assists are between 15 and 19, and I'd bet we are well under .500 when we get less than 15 assists.

It's much easier to score points, and win, against bad teams. I think we would need a win-loss breakdown of those teams Danny has scored 20+ against before this stat has any real meaning.

I would say he normally steps up and does more when its a big game. Less when the other team is deemed not as dangerous.

The stats are going to be a little off compared to in years past because normally Granger was our #1 and practically only true scoring option.. But now he's one of many, we don't go to him like we used to... Looking at the numbers I was still suprised at how low his points are sometimes. I think you have to put into play that sometimes other guys are just feeling it and they get the ball as well as Granger hasn't done well against Miami this year, and I think that's because of his strong concentration to defense.

Games over 20 Points this year:

TOR: 8-19 for 21 points = victory
CLE: 8-22 for 22 points = victory
ATL: 9-16 for 24 points = victory
BOS: 8-19 for 21 points = victory
GS: 10-16 for 26 points = victory
CHI: 9-16 for 22 points = Victory
BOS: 7-16 for 21 points = loss
ORL: 10-20 for 24 points = victory
NJ: 6-15 for 21 points = victory
MIN: 9-19 for 36 points = victory
ATL: 5-17 for 21 points = loss
DEN: 10-18 for 26 points = loss
NJ: 10-20 for 32 points = victory
GS: 9-18 for 25 points = victory
NO: 7-14 for 20 points = victory
PHI: 8-13 for 20 points = victory
LAC: 7-17 for 25 points = victory

To be fair, that's about how often Danny has a good scoring night.

Too soon?
