Boy, they must already be buzzed in Chicago, cause the smack talk on the boards is past 10 already

Win or lose, I just really hope we can be competitive. I dont want to see us ran off the court, embarassed and all. If we lose a close fought hard game , I can live with that no problem

Huge game tonight... Really doubt we come out with the W.. Should be close but that team is so freakin good AND angry we beat them at home.. We have to play GREAT to win this one.

Just don't let Noah have a good game!

I could watch Noah shoot those guns in the air and jam them in his holster all day long. I wonder if there is a gif or video of him running backwards doing the gun thing. He is definitely a different kind of guy...

I think if our defense is on like it was in the new orleans game I think we got this one in the bag. I mean I know it's just New Orleans but it was nice to see us try and get into a groove defensively, there wasn't as many missed assignments and didn't even notice Roy getting drug out past the 3pt line anymore last game. I know we all wish we could win every game but I always want to beat Chicago more than any other team. I hope the stretch of easy games hasn't lulled us into some false sense of how tough tonights game will be. When the Bulls come out and really bring it, I don't want us to look shell-shocked. Also maybe if we win this game when the Bulls come to face us at home finally maybe it will deter a few of their idiot fans from making the trip to Indy.

Agreed. The sky will fall in Chicago if we win. Chicago is almost as big as the New York hype machine.

I think it might be a good chance to turn the casual fans head in our direction. If we get blown out it will be "just the same Pacers," but if we can win or at least be competitive it could help a little.

Bulls are playing to Frank Vogel's hand right now. You know Frank will make sure our guys hear about anything that will rile them up.

Derrick started it off with his comments..pissing off Danny. And when Danny gets pissed off, somebody gonna get hurt. Joakim will wish he never said anything about Roy celebrating... Roy's probably steaming right now too. And PG will be the PG we all know and love... still pissed off from the dunk contest and wanting to shut down DRose. I can assure you that if it's close down the stretch, DRose will have to work really hard to score any points on PG.

That's not how you go out and play.

You don't change your starting lineup because of the opposing player. Especially when you're 23-12.

We've rolled with the same starting lineup nearly every game and it's not changing.

Actually last time we played them we switched up the defensive assignments a lot to keep them off balance... Also Rose can't guard DC so thats always interesting to watch.

The key is who steps up to ball? Does boozer/noah win the inside? Does granger take out deng? We are pretty even with our matchups. Which matchup out plays the other? That will decide the game...

I fully expect this to be down to the wire the entire game.

Vogel and the players hate the Bulls and know what it takes to compete and beat them so I doubt we'll let up in any way.

I think bench play will be a huge factor Rose played 41 minutes last night, and C.J. Watson got hurt last night so who is going to be their backup point guard for Rose when he needs his breaks? Granted Rose will still probably be able to bring in a solid 30+ minutes of production anyhow, but the lack of a backup point guard might be an issue. I was checking the injury report though and it doesn't say anything about Watson.

I really think this game will play out a lot like the last time we played them. Hansbrough always seem to get up for the Bulls to it's funny watching him **** off Boozer. You can definitely count on one thing though the game will not come down to a make or miss of Brian Scalabrine. If we beat them tonight if we're not in their heads yet, we will be afterwords.

I predict we hold Rose under 20 tonight.

I don't think so.

Last 4 games against us: 28.8 ppg
5 playoff games: 27.6 ppg

We did hold him below 20 once, but we aren't very good at it.

Caveat: Was just checking games (http://www.basketball-reference.com/play-index/h2h_finder.cgi?request=1&p1=rosede01&p2=georgpa01) where Paul George could have been guarding him.

I have a few questions about tonight for everybody.

#1. If we win tonight do the Bulls Say hey they were the better team and give us props where they are due? Or do they just talk about how they can't wait until next time?

#2 If we win do we quietly walk to the locker room get dressed and wig out on the bus? Or do really over celebrate this time just to make a point?

#1: Considering their vocal players are classless jerks... No, I doubt they take the high road...

#2: Honestly, I won't be upset either way. Part of me wants to rub it in their faces, and part of me also wants to walk away quietly after a W, just to show them that we KNOW we can beat them and it doesn't phase us at all.

Watching that PG segment gave me goosebumps:

"For my legacy, I want to be great... the Pacers all time leading scorer, an all star, a champion... all the things the greatest have done for their team"

What's wild in this case, is that he actually has the potential to see that through.

You'd think with his access to facilities and experts, that it would be pretty easy to teach him how to shoot a basketball or at least the correct shooting form to help increase his chances of actually hitting a shot.

I'm sure he has other skills like hand pistol dances on the sidelines but just amazing his shot is that bad.

So far so good. We've done a good job keeping Rose low on scoring. AJ should up his defense in the next half against Lucas. I hope that Hibbert will stay away from fouls.

Oh and I expect Tyler to play better since he hit his first shot.

Good news, everyone! Toronto is playing Orlando tight with 5 min. left in the 4th quarter.

Well, I'm sorry I brought it up. 7 straight by the Magic.

I think we played well in the playoffs last year, but this team simply looks more "for real" than last year. We not only look like a playoff team, but the younger guys are starting to play like vets. Also, Paul George is beginning to create some separation in terms of being unstoppable. No, he's not consistent yet but he appears to be capable of getting his shot off regardless of the defense. That's what you need to contend. That and solid play we are seeing.
