So it looks like if the Raptors want to shed salary and give us Barbosa, so they can sign W. Chandler, that they have to do it either today or tomorrow.

....Chandler has until Thursday to receive an offer sheet from another team — he met with Toronto last week but hasn't been made an offer. After Thursday, the only NBA team he could play for this season is Denver.

So if Chandler doesn't sign a long-term deal with the Nuggets, he won't play in the NBA until next fall. At that point, Chandler will have either re-signed long term with Denver in the summer or ended up elsewhere.

Luchey said "we're considering all options" and that it's realistic that Chandler could sign with a professional team in Italy this spring, in order to stay in shape and make some money.

Well it looks as though Toronto is out, so no Barbosa...

CHANDLER WATCH

The Raptors have until Thursday to submit an offer sheet to restricted free agent Wilson Chandler.

Donít count on that happening even though he met with team management last week.

The Raptors would love to have the versatile swingman who can both defend and score, but donít have the cap space to submit an offer Denver would not match.

Chandlerís options are to sign with the Nuggets long-term, return overseas to play out the year (this time in Italy, according to his agent) or to sign an offer sheet with another team this week.

The Nuggets arenít interested in signing Chandler only for the rest of the season, which would turn him into an unrestricted free agent this summer.

According to sources, Toronto has balked at Chandlerís asking price, but has not completely closed the door if he becomes unrestricted and is willing to accept less money.

They will move Barbosa if an offer is made for him. He is an FA and prolly won't resign. He is worth a 2nd pick.
