I created this trade rumor on Real GM a little while ago, and I will put it up on this topic.

Indiana trades: PF Al Harrington (13.5 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 1.7 apg in 31.2 minutes)
Indiana receives: PF Predrag Drobnjak (13.5 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 1.7 apg in 31.2 minutes)

PF Melvin Ely (4.1 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 0.5 apg in 13.9 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +8.7 ppg, +2.4 rpg, and +0.8 apg.

L.A. Clippers trades: PF Predrag Drobnjak (13.5 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 1.7 apg in 31.2 minutes)
SG Quentin Richardson (18.1 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 2.0 apg in 36.0 minutes)
PF Melvin Ely (4.1 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 0.5 apg in 13.9 minutes)
L.A. Clippers receives: PG Ronald Murray (13.2 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 2.4 apg in 50 games)

Seattle trades: PG Ronald Murray (13.2 ppg, 2.4 rpg, 2.4 apg in 25.8 minutes)
SG Brent Barry (10.6 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 5.5 apg in 30.8 minutes)
Seattle receives: PF Al Harrington (13.5 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 1.7 apg in 50 games)
Change in team outlook: -10.3 ppg, +0.7 rpg, and -6.2 apg.

TRADE ACCEPTED

Indy does it to get Richardson, and a couple of solid big's, maybe Pollard could be thrown back out there or something.

Clips do it to get the salary cap space in order to go after Kobe, and if they don't get him, get a solid replacement in Murray.

Seattle gets a future star at the 3 or 4 in Al Harrington, although they might not be willing to make that deal. Maybe give them a draft pick or something.

Overall, I just want to wonder what people think of it.

No way can we get Drobnjak, Richardson, and Ely for just Harrington, but that would be sweet.
Anyone notice how Drobnjak and Harrington's stats match exactly? :hmm:

Any way to re-work that so we can get Cato from the Rocks? BIIGG body would come in mighty handy. I've always liked him (as a player)

PF Al Harrington (13.5 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 1.7 apg in 31.2 minutes)

Oh my some of these trades scare the crap out of me. You people have not actually seen and Houston games have you? NO STEVE FRANCIS.

You want to trade a pass first pg on a team with 4 scoring options for a I will never pass pg who will throw away a game so that he gets the last shot? If you think for a second that Jermaine, Ron, Al and Reggie want to defer to him you are dead wrong. Team chemistry would be right out the window.

I wouldn't mind getting Cato. How about this:

Houston trades:
C Kelvin Cato (6.2 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 0.9 apg in 26.9 minutes)
SF Eric Piatkowski (4.8 ppg, 1.6 rpg, 0.5 apg in 17.0 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -0.6 ppg, +1.1 rpg, and -0.1 apg.

Indiana trades:
PF Austin Croshere (4.9 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 0.4 apg in 12.6 minutes)
C Jeff Foster (5.5 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 0.9 apg in 23.1 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +0.6 ppg, -1.1 rpg, and +0.1 apg.

Well it's kind of a sideways move, I just like Cato more than Foster. His contract is about the same as Croshere's, but a year shorter.

I don't think Houston has any real reason to do it, though.

So why not have him do that in Houston. He is too small to play the 2 is the problem.

03-04 HOU 50 50 39.9 .397 .298 .763 1.50 4.10 5.50 5.9 1.40 .50 3.64 3.10 16.8

.397 from the feild .298 from three. He is the primary shooter and only scores 16 ppg in 40 minutes. No thanks I would rather have a more accurate and more efficient guard like the one we have now. If we get a Reggie replacement I would rather he be able to hit the three better than Ron Mercer.

If anyone seen the end of the Rockets/Spurs last night and still think Steve Francis is anything but a selfish ballhog...You need your head examined!!!

:15 seconds on the clock and a timeout
Rockets down by 3
Francis pounds the ball at the 3 point line and gets by his defender
Back peddles to the 3 point arc and again is guarded
Fails to lose his defender
Kills the clock...
Shoots an Airball!
Van Gundy embarrassed!!!

That was not the play, the kid is just selfish. I can understand if there was 5 sec. on the clock with no timeouts, but what he did was **** poor!
