It may seem like Grant Hill might have a decent healthy season. I, personally, hope he does because I have him on my fantasy league.

How many games do you think he will play in this year?

I hope he does well also. Some people here (in Detroit) are bitter because he left the team high and dry but I grew up rooting for the guy and toiling so long on the IR should be penance enough for anyone.

They shouldn't be bitter. He screwed up his ankle in the first place by playing for them in the playoffs when it was BEYOND OBVIOUS he should have been sat down.

I'll never forget that last game. Man, talk about watching a guy's career literally go down the drain.

Asked afterward if O'Neal's absence contributed to Charlotte's win, Knight bristled.

"What about Primoz? They didn't have Shaq, but we didn't have Primoz," he said.

I wonder how long this fantasy team would hold up:

C Zydrunas Ilgauskas
PF Alonzo Mourning
SF Jonathan Bender
SG Grant Hill
PG Penny Hardaway

I also thought that he insisted on a sign and trade when he could've just signed with the Magic. I bet the Pistons fans still would rather have him sign with Orlando rather than getting Ben Wallace...

Um, no. You have your facts wrong, so stop those judgement passing eyes. He was going to just up and leave but Dumars got him to agree to a sign and trade. Hill stipulated however, that the trade couldn't include taking any players away from Orlando that would weaken the team. In essence, Dumars was allowed to pick through those the Magic deemed disposable.

BTW, Hill was recently quoted in a book about the 03-04 Pistons as taking partial credit for the teams championship. Why, you ask. Because teams can toil in mediocrity forever but its easier to rebuild if you fall all the way to the bottom. Hill credits his own leaving as giving the Pistons that fall that allowed them to rebuild correctly. (I'll get a link if anyone actually cares enough to want one.)

His little theory might be right (I don't agree, personally) but even if it is those who leave the team and allow it to fall to the bottom don't deserve credit if the team rises to the top later.

Not only is he good...but he's a positive role model throughout the NBA.

The only bad thing I've heard about Grant Hill was just now about him being traded and what-not.
