Now confirmed by Mark Boyle......:mad::mad:

Said he missed the morning shoot-around and it's a game-time decision, but he didn't sound at all optimistic....

Bender is available for 8-10 mins. a half.....

Harrison is in uniform and available....

:shakehead: I am going to have to update my ignore list.

I'm assuming JJ would start - we need somebody that is capable of playing on the bench...

Anyway...

Now it seems Ron is playing. Sorry to be a pessimist about this, but this sounds just like last year when Ron flirted with faking injury to pout to Carlisle early last year, then he at the last minute said he "felt OK" and started. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Yeah, that shifty Ron. Seriously, though, does anybody still feel like anything shady was going on? Or maybe the guy really wasn't sure about the knee.

Well from what I was reading Ron wasn't going to play but he seen the Doctor before the game and they assured him he would do no further damage by playing on it.

No matter how you slice it , he had a hell of a game and usually does on these supposed not going to play nights.

Yeah, what I've heard since the game suggests this was a legit injury (thankfully).

ChicagoJ

My first thought was maybe this was an unofficial one-game suspension for blowing off Larry last summer. Obviously that wasn't the case.

Given Ron's proven ability to play with pain, and his long-standing reputation of claiming to be to injured to play when he gets upset with Krause, Floyd, Cartwright, Isiah, Rick, etc. - its always going to look suspicious if Ron might miss a game due to a somewhat-minor injury that hadn't previously been discussed publicly.

Did anybody know, prior to the announcement that he wasn't playing, that he was having any issues with his knees?

The Cavs announcers mentioned it on numerous occasions, and made reference to him tweaking it in practice this week. That was news to me. :shrug: Somebody should get the bunny onto that.

I heard channel13 say something about it , but I tuned into the pregame and I don't remember even hearing a word about Ron not playing in that game til almost before game time.

Then again maybe I wasn't paying much attention :laugh:

From what I heard this happened last Saturday and Ron went to see the Doctor before the game and they assured him he would do no further damage by playing , so he played in the game ..Thank God :)
