I always said, back in the 1990's: When I see him at MSA on a Tuesday night in February for a game against the Nets - that's when I'll consider him a real fan.

I've always thought he was a publicity hound, but his signs are clever so I usually laugh *at* him.

I do remember seeing him courtside for some Miami Heat playoff games in the 1990s, also - I think when Miami played the Bulls - so that's also contributed to my belief that he's a bigger fan of "beeing seen" than he is of the Pacers.

But hey, I'm just jealous. More power to him.

You're not, at least to my knowledge, a publicity hound. That's the difference - there's lots of 'real fans' that would love to just be able to go to a regular old game. He'd blow it off because there wouldn't be enough people watching the game to make it worth his effort.

Alright, I'm not saying he's not a fan at all, he still showed up during the Isiah Thomas years so he should get some credit for that. But when I think of the ultimate Pacers fan, I think of the people that have held season tickets for longer than I have - which would put you back into the 'lean years'.

EDIT - I can tell that I've said enough on this topic to get myself in even more trouble around here today. I should shut up and get some lunch.
