Obviously several things are suject to change. If Dwight goes to New Jersey that changes things up, injuries, etc. can all change this.

Also I freely admit I'm probably not putting either the Lakers or the Spurs high enough.

Also I'm counting on Paul Pierce to be injured for our series with the Celtics.:D

Hard season to put a finger on due to short schedule and fatigue going to be a real factor.

peck, you list the pacers as the 3rd seed when you meant for them to be the 6th.

owl
12-21-2011, 07:14 AM
Pacers will go 33-33. 8th seed.

D-BONE
12-21-2011, 07:21 AM
Pacers will go 33-33. 8th seed.

I'm in this general vicinity. I'll say 35-31 7th seed. 1st round loss.

Pacers: 36-30 7th seed. 1st Round loss to the Bulls again but this time they push them to 6 or 7 games.

Top 8 predictions for each conference:

EAST

1. Miami
2. Bulls
3. Knicks
4. Celtics
5. 76ers
6. Magic
7. Pacers
8. Hawks

WEST

1. Thunder
2. Mavs
3. Grizzlies
4. Lakers
5. Spurs
6. Clippers
7. Blazers
8. Suns

Warriors, Rockets, Nets, and Bucks barely miss the playoffs but will be tough teams to beat.

It's tough for me to see the 76ers doing a whole lot better than a 36-30 record.

DonSwanson

Pacers: 29-37, 9th, (3-1 start, then a 5-13 stretch, followed by close to .500 ball rest of the season). Probably no better than 32-34 which might allow us to sneak back into the playoffs depending on how everyone else is doing.

EAST
1. Miami
2. Chicago
3. Boston
4. Orlando
5. New York
6. Atlanta
7. Milwaukee
8. Philly

WEST
1. OKC
2. Clippers
3. Lakers
4. Dallas
5. San Antonio
6. Memphis
7. Denver
8. Portland

West Finals--Lakers over Dallas
East Finals--Boston over Miami

NBA Finals--Lakers over Boston (admittedly it's probably unlikely that none of the younger teams make it this far, but I'm hoping they both have one more run left in them. Loved watching the 2008 and 2010 finals).

31-35 and 8th seed is my prediction.

Don't know enough about the NBA to make widespread predictions but I'll go ahead and say the Pacers finish 34-32 and end up with the 7th seed.

BRushWithDeath

My prediction was before Brook Lopez's injury. The 8th seed goes to Atlanta. They lose in the first round to the Heat.

How are everyone's predictions turning out? My east is still looking pretty good, I oversold the Grizz and the Blazers in the west and why did I pick Jimmer? I don't even like Jimmer.

Ok, I have to ask a question now. Why did a lot of you see Hansbrough getting the 6th man of the year award?

Ok, I have to ask a question now. Why did a lot of you see Hansbrough getting the 6th man of the year award?

he ended the year on a nice roll. and played well in pre-season. it was a logical assumption that he had figured out what he had to do to be a good player.

6th man of the year was a little optomistic, but pretty much everyone except the tyler haters thought he was going to be a solid rotation player.

6th man of the year was a little optomistic, but pretty much everyone except the tyler haters thought he was going to be a solid rotation player.

I agree that he was going to be a solid rotation player. He is a good rotation player and I like him a lot as well.

I just would never see him beating James Harden. He's so damn hyped. That's why I thought it was weird :p

Feel pretty good overall but some big misses, too.

Yeah, I'm not saying that he's not good. It's the combination of him being very, very good and being hyped and playing one of the league's hottest teams that pretty much guarantees him the 6th man of the year award :p

peck, you list the pacers as the 3rd seed when you meant for them to be the 6th.

Well wouldn't you know it, I was right to be wrong on this one.

Overall there is just no way I can walk away from this season without being thrilled with the way the regular season went.

From my pre season prediction of 6th seed jumping all the way up to 3rd, can't judge the playoffs yet, but just he regular season alone has got to be considered a very succesfull season.
