The Blazers have decided to use the amnesty clause on Brandon Roy, league sources told Y! Sports.

With Pritchard on board what is the possibility that we sign him?

Never mind

Portland had the choice to let Roy take a medical retirement, or use amnesty on him. Roy is leaving the game with knee problems.

My first thought was Brandon Roy because I knew they had to do it to sign Jamal Crawford.

I can see why it would have thrown people off, but c'mon, you gotta know that's not going to happen. Amnesty Roy Hibbert?

Some people think that Lance is going to be a vital part of the season. So I can understand the thought process.

On a serious note, if Brandon Roy decides to make a comeback from his retirement during the duration of his contract, then he should be made available to teams under the cap via the amnesty system.
I know he has a real medical issue but for him to be amnestied, then came back near the end of the season and be allowed to sign with anyone he wants to without teams under the cap having first dibs, wouldn't be right.
Similar deal with B Davis, he needs to be offered to teams under the cap once he's medically cleared. He shouldn't be allowed to go to Miami once he's over his injury just because he was medically unavailable for several weeks.
