Normally I wouldn't post a thread regarding this, but I couldn't believe how different he looks.

He looks like a different person.

Holy crap.

Totally different... But my question is why would he lose all that weight? He's supposed to be a big man.. Unless it was all just fat and not muscle.

He probably would like to have his knees for the rest of his career. Plus, he is strong. Those 32 pounds won't affect him that much. He will be easier to move around, but he also will be much more mobile and better defensively, IMO. I think this is a good thing for a guy with a propensity to add weight as he will probably do throughout the year. He looks much healthier.

Wow! Good for him. Thunder should get a high seed this year.

That'll really help his knee.

Good for Perk. That should help prolong his career.

Thunder will get the 1 seed in the West this year. They will wear teams out in this compressed season.

ATL PF Josh Smith also lost a lot of weight (he had plumped up last year and no longer seemed to play above the rim like he used to).

Eddie Curry lost like 70+ pounds too, but since he started at 400, it didn't allow him to make it through more than one practice before shuttin' 'er down.

Should still have plenty of bulk to push people around, less weight should help his mobility, and more importantly, his knee.

Good for him. How else was he supposed to play along the side of Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant?

Crazy before & after picture. I still can't believe they're the same person.

I have always like Perkins game and wish him the best with his new physique. It sure has to have helped on the knee. My only question would be could he still hold his own down in the paint. I think he will be ok in that area and he should help bring that Thunder team to a higher level with increased speed and mobility. Now if I can drop a few lbs my knee could do better too.

I like what KP can do in the paint, but personally I always thought he looks like an unhappy ninja turtle.
