View Full Version : NBATV commercials are the worst!

I basically have NBATV on 24/7 at this point even though they are replay the same thing every hour. I can take the repetition, but - MY GOD - who comes up with this crap they are advertising?!

First it was the horrible sit up machine that they advertise can be flipped over as a way to do tough pushups. The dude is practically standing straight up!!!! He'd have to do like 500 pushups on that thing to get a workout out of it!

Then they had the website that will resurrect your crappy old computer and turn it into something still relevant. :hmm: I don't know what they charge for that service but I bet you could probably buy or at least rent a cheap new computer for the same price.

Now I just saw the Clip Pick - a super cheap and functionless camera that can clip onto things. Wootness! Hey, if you call now they'll upgrade it to the clip pick PRO so you can take grainy, crappy videos with it as well. Just think. Now you can leave your cell phone at home (and avoid all those annoying emergency calls) because your camera is clipped onto the side of your backpack that you will obviously carry everywhere.

Christmas cannot come soon enough...

I was seriously thinking the same thing. That's crazy!

It's a cheap station so these low budget commercials are able to get on cheap.

Who's that Nancy person on the My Clean PC commercial? She's ugly as hell.

I used to really love/hate the HoverRound commercial they played a lot last season. "End of the line!"

Forever Lazy FTW!

I've also ordered several cans of flex seal in case I ever need to go boating on a screen door.

It makes me happy I'm not the only one that has something to say about these low budget ads that are in no way geared towards the viewers who are watching for basketball/sports.

Some I can think of.

"End of the line"! "Zero...I paid nothing for my unit"!I recite that every time it's on, which is about every 7 minutes.

My favorite is still the patio cover commercial from last year. The actor says the price in the commercial, the company revised the price, and then horribly re-dubbed the audio for the new price, $499.

Now see these are decent commercials. They need to pepper this kind of stuff in there every now and then just so the channel doesn't feel so cheap.

I love that! What the heck made them think of that as a way to illustrate their product?! Sure you sprayed the screen, but what if you forget your on a boat and open the door? You just jumped into a boat with a screen door. I don't trust you to not be that stupid!

Ahh, SunSetter Retractable Awning brings back some good memories.

I also liked the Skin-It commercial they used to play with the dad who would steal his families stuff to make iPod cases out of. They had to have spent a good hundred dollars making that commercial.
