It looks like Nene and West are going to be off the market. We are down to Landry or a trade to aquire an impact player.

Latest NewsRecent NewsNBA.com's David Aldridge reported Friday that free agent David West is nearing a deal with the Celtics. Now with Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Jeff Green, and Brandon Bass in tow, the Celtics will boast one of the NBA's best SF/PF groups. West has been a clear cut No. 2 option on an overachieving Hornets squad, but will defer much more on this unit and his fantasy value will take pretty big hit. We're comfortable projecting 30 minutes per game for West, at least until they sign a center that will keep Boston from playing small lineups. Recent reports have suggested the Hornets will execute a sign-and-trade to acquire Jermaine O'Neal, and Jeff Green may be heading out, too. West is likely to be overdrafted, and you won't see us selecting him before the sixth or seventh round at best. His value is far from settled. Dec 9 - 10:54

This doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Do the celtics really want to be one of the oldest teams in the nba with no young guys to take over next year?

If this true then westt contract will be around 9 mill.

This is bad for Boston... They continue to get smaller...
Perkins out, Green in. (last year)
Big Baby out, West in.

They have a significant weakness inside with those changes. West is basically the exact same as Green but older and more experienced. And coming off an injury.
