I think that this has gotta be one of the most fun playoff runs I've ever watched, regardless of the sport. Totally awesome.

There are only 4 pro sports teams I ever cared about.

I grew up a diehard fan of the Pacers and Reds, and then adopted the Patriots and Red Sox gradually after moving out here 8 years ago.

The Reds of course gave me thrills in '75, '76, and '90, the Patriots twice in the past 3 years, the Red Sox now. I was happy but too young to appreciate the Pacers ABA titles, so I'm greedy and want an NBA title to make my fan experience complete.

Oh, and go IU!

Totally. This was completely un. Freaking. Believable.

You have to realize that about two weeks ago they were 3 outs away from being swept out of the playoffs, with one of the best players of all time (Rivera) closing them out. Not to mention game 3 of the ALDS, game 1 of the ALCS, games 4, 5, 6 are all "instant classic" material, that game 6 of the ALCS was probably one of the most memorable, intense and surreal baseball games I've ever seen.

As I told a friend last night, moments such as these are why sports freaking rule. There are few things that can equal the elation and pride of the Red Sox and their fans right now. Simply amazing.
