Is Ron Artest on fire or just hogging the ball?

The good news - Pacers lead Memphis, 90-84 with 3:34 to go.

The bad news - AJ is injured, broke a bone in his hand (not sure which one yet)

Just looking at the box score, Ron's still shooting great... you think maybe he heard West say "not worth it?"

Tins just committed a foul on a Memphis 3 pt shooter with the Pacers leading by 4 and 16 secs to go...:annoyed:

For what it's worth - Pacers win tonight's pre-season game 102-96

Hard to be happy about a meaningless game where another player goes down though.

I saw that Jackson was ejected. What was that all about?

From Pacers.com - Stephen Jackson was ejected with 7:51 left in the game after picking up his second technical foul, apparently for patting official Bennett Salvatore on the backside after getting whistled for an offensive foul.
................................

His first one came after arguing with Bennett Salvatore over something else. Slick commented that Jackson was frustrated because he was having trouble guarding Dahntay Jones.........

Slick was all over Salvatore in the parts of the game that I heard. At least in Slick's opinion, Salvatore made several terrible calls. The two I can remember him complaining about were an over and back call against the Pacers where the Griz had poked away the dribble and an "and 1" on a continuation where Boyle joked that the foul was called at the end of the third quarter and the the basket was made in the early fourth.......

And Reggie's and one in the first quarter. Instead of getting a three-point play, we got a turnover at the end of the sequence.

I know it was a preseason game and everyone else was out so he had to carry the load, but Jeebus, that was a heller game by Ron. Let's see him have a few of those statlines in the reg season and we will hear about Ron Artest, the MVP candidate.

We are winning too many meaningless games. Let's lose a few.

I've got to come up with a way to record Mark and Slick to .mp3 via Audio League Pass.

Has anyone else done/ attempted to do that?

Unless you were lying when you said you bought the iRiver iHP-120, it should be very easy........;)

I've never recorded with it.

So I think you're telling me that I could hook it up to the audio output line on my computer and record it that way? Is that what you're suggesting?

I was thinking I'd need to use WMP or RealOne and create an .mp3 file first.

That's exactly what I'm suggesting. That's how I've recorded any game/post-game audio I've posted(although using good old AM instead of Audio League Pass).

If I can't listen to/see a game, I set it up to record and then listen to it in the office the next day. Of course, my wife thinks I'm nuts for listening to recorded preseason basketball........

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm still trying to work out the logistics, the .mp3 player is usually with me, on a train, from 6:00pm to 7:00pm (or 6:30pm to 7:30pm).

Since home games tip off at 6pm Chicago time, that's an obstacle I've still got to work out... (and that's, of course, the reason I became a TiVo addict in the first place.)

Okay, it worked. But it recorded at such a low volume that I have to strain to hear it.

Does that happen to you?
