Now if he could only do that over a car, he might get invited to lose to Blake Griffin in the NBA dunk "contest".

Thats pretty freakin awasome display of hoops in my book. much much more difficult then it looks

Did he take that between his legs?

07-29-2011, 11:24 AM
That's pretty creative. Not sure I've seen anyone do a 360, between the legs, windmill like that. Vince Carter always did the 360 windmill, and the between the legs windmill but not together like that. Pretty good.

Awesome body control. It's why I think he'll be great.

He's done that dunk before (or something very similar to it) in the layup lines. On twitter I used to post the dunks that I would be seeing in the layup line and this past season was great for dunks between Josh, Paul, Dahntey & Tyler. But believe it or not often times the best dunks in the layup line would come from T.J. Ford. Yes, T.J. Ford. Little man could get up there and would often times give us 360 dunks.

He didn't do it every game but the ones he did do it on were pretty spectacular.

Tyler as you can imagine often gave us power dunks that would just rock the goal. However he could also be creative when the mood hit him.

Josh on most nights though would certainly win the pre-game dunk contest because he would do crazy things as well. He and James Posey had this thing going where Josh would hand off the ball like a quarterback to a running back Posey would take the ball and jaunt back a few feet and then toss the ball overhanded like a football to Josh who would already be in the air for what sometimes would look like a horizontal dunk. I'm not really doing it justice by describing it this way, but if you could have seen them do this it was pretty impressive.

...and this is SUPER off topic, but my video was paused at this point...but DG seriously makes the goofiest faces on earth, especially playing ball. I was looking for pics of him to draw and had a hard time finding one without some weird look on his face

Since the end of the season, these threads have mostly been bummers. This was a real pick me up. Thanks guys.

It's just nice having a guy whose knees are fully intact (knock on wood) with the warranted "unlimited potential" tag. Been a long time. Then put him with all our other young bucks with a smidgen of "potential" left, at least clear room for improvement, it's a fun time.

P word p word p word, I know. I just want to see PG and McBob doing the Sidney Deane/Billy Hoyle thing at the dunk contest.

If King George starts exploding off the court like Vince Carter used to, getting to the rim and dunking fancily and often, he'll be set to make the Dunk Contest. And if he does, I think he's got plenty of dunks in his reportoir to match up against Blake Griffin. Which, if I'm still in Orlando in February (and season pending), would be one epic match-up to see during All-Star Weekend, and a benefit of my current location.

I want to see more in-game, Vinsanity-style dunks from Georgie Boy. The ones in the Granger camp video are Vinsanity-style dunk contest jams. He's got the potential.

I'm so happy that PG is working with Danny and Nick Young.

Working with and against two really good scorers should help him improve his defense and scoring ability. He could always dunk but being around those 2 should help him improve his offensive mid-range game which is his biggest area of improvement.

08-09-2011, 03:55 PM
Hopefully he doesn't pick up any of Nick Young's shot selection.

Or all of Danny's for that matter.

Awesome dunk.

But we all knew Paul could dunk.

I hope he's working on his ball handling.

Notice the subtle difference between a Danny Granger Basketball Camp and a Lebron Basketball Camp. Granger instilling discipline and hard work into today's youth with random push up drills after seeing a nice dunk show and some horse by the pros.....Lebron just runs over his camp kids as he dunks on them, cheating in knock out.

This is going to be a long and cold winter...............
