Uh-oh, looks like our guy T'Wolves draft pick Tanguy Ngombo has been busted for lying about his age: http://bit.ly/kfxzqp (hat-tip @sJacas )

Lucky he wasn't a high pick or anything.

they need some veteran leadership if they want to make the playoffs.

He is the guy that according to reports Minnesotta didn't want to tell anybody about, he was supposed to be some kind of hidden gem and they were the only ones that knew about him.

I wouldn't blame Kahn for this....I'd blame the Agent and Player. It's not like this is the first time Player has lied about his age to get into the draft.

By the way, I think it would be funny if other teams knew about this but let it happen to Khan anyway

Actually, the joke is on you guys (and the writer of that article).

He was drafted by the MAVS and traded to PORTLAND.
Kahn had nothing to do with this.

They bought the pick during the draft.

And the Wolves are 100 % at fault here, even if the player and agent lied. His info is all over the internet ( for example: http://london2012.fiba.com/pages/eng/fe/12/olym/player/p/eid/6232/pid/54353/rid//sid/5195/tid/350/profile.html)

On NBA.com It said the MAVs traded him in the Portland Trade. It says nothing that it was bought by MINN. I tend to trust the NBA page more, but if its wrong, then I guess the joke is on me.

Portland made the pick for Kahn and the Wolves. This has been confirmed many times.

Whats really crazy though is not that they got ripped off and lied to but that they aren't even ALLOWED to draft him. Players over 22 years of age aren't eligible to be drafted and are instead free agents.

Will be interesting to see how this shakes out.

Kahn *****ed over the team, AGAIN, but it wasn't even his fault. LOL

If that is the case the blame should be on the league not Kahn.

LOL I'm really happy this trade is about Kahn and the Wolves. I thought it was about that escort chick that recorded the Lance Stephenson "meeting". I saw this morning that she tweeted and apology for that whole episode

do we know he is def. 26? Yes there is a FIBA site saying so, but that could be a typo easily (1989 vs. 4). Seems like a lot of website citing the same info.

We didn't add words to the censor just for people to work around them. This is becoming more common so I'm starting to speak up about it. Please refrain.

I wonder what are the possibilities of sueing the agent and / or player (or representative in US, or whoever). There are some pretty obvious damages involved here. Especially if the pick was bought.

While I agree with the overall premise that the Minnesota franchise is poorly run, a laughingstock in fact, and that they should have done their homework on this pick,

the Timberwolves may also have a legit complaint against the league, who accepts applications from those players wishing to enter the draft and (I presume) part of the review process on the part of the NBA is to determine if the player applying is indeed draft-eligible. What I am saying is that someone screwed up before the 'wolves did. No excuse, but it stands to reason that someone should have removed the guy from the draft-eligible list.

I wonder how easy it is to hide your age from the league if your from a nation where you can buy certificates. I am not saying this is what happened but how are you suppose to patrol for stuff like that.
