Just saw this from a person who is based out of Orlando:

Orlando's version of Adam Schefter is reporting that the Magic are offering nearly everything for Chris Paul to join Dwight.

He says if they land Paul, Dwight signs. If not, Dwight waits longer/leaves.

I don't know if Orlando could offer me enough to get CP3 without Dwight.

Sure they have some good players on the Magic, but I'm just not sure they could put together a good enough package to convince me to get rid of, in my opinion, the best PG in the league.

Is this really a smart move to make before we know what the new CBA will look like? Would suck for Orlando if they traded for Paul, then had to immediately bounce him somewhere else due to a hard cap implementation.

The funny thing is that the Magic have nothing of significant value that the Hornets would want that would even entice them to part with CP3. I can't even think of any prospects that the Magic have that would make the Hornets blink.....I wouldn't even care about future 1st round picks as those would be in the 20s with a CP3 and Dwight combo.

Magic might have to pull of a 3 way somehow with another team. I'm not sure, though, that would be enough. The only way I could see something happening where the Magic get Paul would be if they get stuck with Okafor too with the only reason being because the NBA owns the team and is trying to clear space.

I think we could put together a better package for CP3 than Orlando could.

Just sayin.

Yep, and once we get CP3, we will be enticing enough for Howard to sign with us next offseason. Perfect, perfect.

Well if the Hornets think CP3 is going to bolt it could be like the Jazz with Deron Williams.

I don't blame the Magic.. they're desperate to try and find a way to keep Howard, thing is I don't think the Magic have the pieces to land CP3 without moving Howard

Who cares. You can pair Howard and Paul you do it. The owners aren't going to get a consensus on a CBA that means top tier players have to just be dumped immediately.

Doesn't matter though, good luck getting Paul with your horrible trade assets Otis Smith.

With Granger being from NO I wonder if we could be apart of a 4 team trade where we could net some nice pieces. I like Jameer, but it's hard to put deals together with Gilbert and Turkoglu taking up so much salary.

Franchise tag is looking more and more likely.

I really wonder if the franchise tag will work in the NBA system like it does in the NFL.

Trade for Chris Paul, have him bring in Howard and have our big three in Granger, Paul, and Howard

Chris Paul
Paul George
Danny Granger
Dwight Howard
Roy Hibbert
..... I just wanted to see what it would look like. Extremely unlikely.

The Warriors aren't shy about trying to pursue Howard. They've thrown their name into the hat.

Roy Hibbert and Paul George would both be in either ORL or NOH

I doubt the CBA will force teams to not have 2 stars. Look at all the top teams right now (outside of Chicago, but thats because Boozer is a bum), they all have multiple stars, no way all the owners will agree to such things. Miami, LA, NYK, Boston, OKC and the list goes on. Dallas only has 1 star, but their payroll isn't exactly low. I just don't see the league screwing over those teams.

Orlando needs this trade badly, but I just don't see the pieces to get it done. If Orlando somehow gets it done, I don't know what to say, because we can offer a much better package. Granger+Collison is better than anything the Magic have outside of Howard.

If Chris Paul ever is on the trade market I imagine the best offer comes from OKC, Paul for Westbrook, if they can't believe him and Durant can't play together.
