View Full Version : Monta Ellis for Dwight Howard

If the new Warriors regime hasn’t been exciting enough already, Jonathan Givony of Draftexpress.com reports that the Warriors have offered Monta Ellis, Andris Biedrins and Ekpe Udoh for Dwight Howard. Givony adds that it is “unlikely that’ll get it done,” which I interpret as the Warriors package is pretty worthless. If the Magic are in rebuilding mode, being strapped with two long-term deals in Ellis and Biedrins, a combo that has not won many games together, is hardly the way to go. And Udoh clearly has not and probably will never project as the next in line of great Orlando Magic centers. SB Nation

Good luck with that offer.

I saw this earlier today and decided it was so ludicrous it wasn't worth posting here.

If the Magic is trading D Howard why on gods green earth would they take on Andris Biedrins .

If i am ORL i would ask for Curry Monta Udoh and about 15 first round draft picks lol.

I'm sure that trade offer never happened, cause it's just so silly.

Seems like a good trade. Monta Ellis the Golden State Warrior for this Dwight Howard:

wow, i wonder what made Monta's value go up so high?? I mean it was about 1 season ago when there were rumors of a Mayo & Thabeet offer for Monta lol, and that was back when Mayo was REALLY having a rough time in the league. I don't see DH12 being traded unless it is in a sign-and-trade when his contract is up.

Well, can't hurt to try right?

I read somewhere (sorry, all I remember is somewhere) that Ellis doesn't have much value and if GS does move him they'd be lucky to get 70 cents on the dollar.

It goes without saying that this proposal is ridiculous, but aside from that, it seems to me that the Warriors may be heading in the right direction for once. I still don't like the Mark Jackson hire, but bringing in Jerry West and shopping Ellis are the right moves to make. Instead of going after someone like Dwight or Iguodala, they should try to get as many draft picks as they can and build around Stephen Curry.

Wow, maybe the Pacers could go after Dwight...

Well, lets see. If Ellis, Biedrins, and Udoh are in play, how's about we up the ante and trade Danny, a S & T with Dunleavy, and Dahntay for him?

Then, the Pacers could have the best center and the best backup center in the league, and have both cap space and more roster spots and also be a desirable destination for other superstars who want to chase the Heat in the future!!!!
