There is no way that the Spurs won't be a factor this year.... There is way too much talent. It'd be nice if they got more from Nesterovic though...

This division is really hard to predict.. (except for last place )

1.) San Antonio 58-24 - playoffs
2.) Dallas Mavericks 51-31 - playoffs
3.) Houston Rockets 50-32 - playoffs
4.) Memphis Grizzlies 50-32 - playoffs
5.) New Orleans Hornets 34-48

Quite possibly the NBA Champions.

2 :rockets:

3 :mavericks:

4 :grizzlies:

5 :hornets:

I don't know about won/loss records. Clearly the top four will be over 0.500, I think the Hornets will be near 0.500, but out of the playoffs. I think the Grizzlies will have to fight for the eighth playoff spot.

Serious contenders. Should come out of the west, or the WCF at the least.

2) :grizzlies:
3) :rockets:
4) :mavericks:
5) :hornets:

I can see an ABA Finals...finally.

Pacers...Spurs...How great would that be? Two very similar teams. Similar emphasis on D. MAN, I would love to see it.

1.) San Antonio
2.) Dallas Mavericks
3.) Memphis Grizzlies
4.) Houston Rockets
5.) New Orleans Hornets

Finals team IMO - Minn's the only team they need to worry about at this point unless Denver REALLY puts it together.

Crazy as it seems Nesterovic is actually one of the best pure centers in the west. Ouch!

With Barry being the only major addition, the Spurs biggest gain is having the same team for the second year in a row. Barry's contribution should put them at the top of this division, arguably the toughest in the league, as well as make them the favorites in the West.

FYI Skaut, The New Jersey/San Antonio finals was the first ABA match up.

Have a great day and wonderful weekend!
