Just caught the end of the pre game show thing so not sure if I heard this right.

Al is out today and Bender has been activated they said? Why is Al out? Knee again?

Southside_Pacer
02-08-2004, 03:41 PM
Yep, it's the knee again.

They're listing Ron with thumb problems, but he's starting.

Pacers win the tip, and we're off!

Southside_Pacer

Tinsley feeds it inside to O'Neal, and O'Neal draws the foul, makes the basket, and makes the free throw.

Good way to start!

No technicals on any Pacer yet.

Just defensive three seconds.

Ron draws the foul on Odom. Gotta love seeing Ron taking it to the basket.

He makes the first. He makes the second.

11-7 Pacers

Southside_Pacer

Great block by O'Neal, and great fast break by the Pacers.

It's the Foster flush!!

It all happens because of defense as always. :)

Hicks
02-08-2004, 03:51 PM
Why does JO have so many missed layups?

It pains me that anyone has to watch games purely by box scores and no context.

He missed, then tipped it right back in. Not like he missed a big shot, then got it, and shot again. It was quick tap-back.

Suaveness

All of the starters have now scored

Miller- 6
Oneal- 5
Tinsley- 3

I'd like to see our defense better in the early goings. They're getting some pretty good looks early on..

And they're shooting around 50%, much too high.

Southside_Pacer
02-08-2004, 03:58 PM
I swore he has been in there longer. Ah well, hopefully they hold him below his average.

Alston is the one that's 3-3 shooting.

Man, the Magic suck. They had a three-point lead, then Rick Fox (who hadn't hit a shot yet in the game) hits a game-tying three with 11.7 seconds left.

Then, Fisher steals the ball and Payton gets a layup to give the Lakers the lead.

Southside_Pacer
02-08-2004, 04:05 PM
Less than an impressive first quarter for the Pacers. Miami should not be shooting 50% on us in a quarter.

However at least we did get a 2-1 at the end of the quarter, despite the Croshere miss.

That was a nice shot by Ron to end the Pacers scoring in the 1st.

zxc

Looks like this is gonna be a tough one without Al. Bench looking pretty bad for us so far.

Yeah, I can't complain about luck this time. The Lakers simply outplayed the Magic down the stretch. Funny how the Lakers played so much better with Shaq on the bench, though.

Some of you need to get off this Pacers blowing leads idea. Every team in the league gets leads and blows leads if you want to call it that

To the Pacers - Heat game today. Everyting the Heat are getting offensively is because of Lamar Odom. Every open shot they get is because of the attention the Pacers are having to pay to Odom.

Pacers were able to get their 10 point cushion when they played zone.

Look for more zone and look for the Pacers to make some changes on who they defend Lamar
