I finally get back to my PC only to find out that wibc.com stopped doing its web broadcast. Guess even the preseason games are off-limit without forking over some dough....

10-11-2004, 08:17 PM
Boston - nba.com is airing the preseason games FOR FREE.

Go to www.nba.com, and at the top right listen live.

Then come in the chat section, we are all listening.

I have listened to almost all the game.

Slick has been very impressed with jackson. saying Pacer fans will really like him.

Slick has also been complimenting Tinsley's quickness and penetrating and even his defense.

Boyle has been funny tonight, taking a rip at Samaki Walker, saying that Samaki means washed up veteran free agent. On was on the treadmill when he said that and I was laughing so hard I had to stop

10-11-2004, 09:32 PM
Mark Boyle just said again that Tinsley has never looked this quick

10-11-2004, 09:40 PM
I'm finally back. My PC was giving me so much problems I was ready to take an axe to it!

NBA.com wouldn't let me log in with my previous registration name, but it also wouldn't let me re-register. PD kept crashing on me, and I had to have the board email me a new password because I had forgotten my old one since I set my system to log me in automatically. And then on top of that I find out there's some bug in the system that won't let me reset my password. :shakehead:

I finally got the NBA.com webcast of the game working, maybe now I can finally relax and focus on the game.

Pacers 58, Wizards 58 in the 3rd quarter

10-11-2004, 10:33 PM
Pacers win, 85-84!!!!! :happydance:

10-12-2004, 04:35 AM
Jackson with what 19 points in 22 minutes? Nice result for a first match:cool:.

10-12-2004, 09:22 AM
oops, wrong thread

Mark and Slick are always entertaining.....

Slick: I see where most of Harrison's weight is...
Mark: Yeah, where?
Slick: In his butt!
Mark: Well, he wears those pants down around his knees and....
Slick: Yeah, that's to camouflage it.
Mark: (Laughing) Well, we can't all be slim and trim like you.....

Mark: Haywoode is now 0 of 5 from the foul line. Apparently spending significant time this summer practicing free throws.
Slick: Now he's gonna make one, since you said that.......no he missed it. 6 in a row!
Mark: There had been reports that he had been spending a lot of time this summer practicing his free throw shooting with Shaquille O'Neal and we have seen evidence of that here in the first half.....42-35 Ball State leads by 7......

Mark: Here comes Tinsley on the drive. Right to the hoop with the right hand. Boy, he can't be as much quicker as he looks.
Slick: Well, he is. He's showin' it. He's out-quickin' Gilbert Arenas.
Mark: He sure is....

Mark: Kevin Lee will stop by from time to time with information that you need to know and while we have a brief opportunity here with the Pacers spending a 20 second timeout, let's check in with Kevin.
Kevin: About what?
Mark: About whatever. Now son. Son. This is your job. You're supposed to step in here and give us scores or wisdom or whatever you want.......
Kevin: Well, wisdom is going to be tough. (talks about baseball)
Mark: What kind of a sideline guy says "What?" when they go to him. What? That was really insightful. What?....Should I take it from that response that I best not go to you again this evening?
Kevin: That's up to you.
Mark: Well, if all we're going to get is "What?"......

10-12-2004, 07:22 PM
Sometimes I think they could train a monkey to do a better job than Kevin Lee.

10-13-2004, 05:45 PM
I'm certainly not a Kevin Lee fan.

That exchange between Kevin and Mark - well I had to pick my chin up off the floor when I heard it. Ouch.

Thanks for transcribing the highlights, MR.
