That's the one. He's, how can I say this, quite a character.

I just hope that, if this is the real DH, that he's matured a bit since the whole 9-11 fiasco.

DH was the one who made some certain comments that I won't repeat during 9/11? That was him? Ugh. Might not last long here.

Yeah, that was him.

For the uninitiated, let's just say that he probably hates the Knicks, and New York in general, more than anyone else here. ;)

Anyone care to say what he wrote after 9/11. I'd be really interested.

It was something along the lines of: The day of the attacks, he came on with some posts where he was talking about how happy he was that there were probably a lot of Knick fans killed in the attack.

Yeah.

Wow, that's a very stupid thing I'd say. I always stop pretending people are smart who actually goes out of their way to hate a team or wish bad things upon them.

Let the past be the past. It might not even be him.

Welcome DH, post please!

I was the one, who as FBOF, wrote the first post objecting to what he had posted. I stated from that moment forward that I would no longer respond to any post that he offered. And everyone else joined in.

All I can say is that it's been 3 years. As Shade says, let's hope he's matured.

But, let's also don't burn him before he even gets started.

There's been a lot of healing since that time. Let's let by gones be by gones.

Assuming he sticks to basketball, he has great contributions to make and will be a welcome addition.

It is me the same person. And yes I did say that there are a few less knick fans today. You have to remember though at the time I posted it one plane had hit the trade center and it was thought to be a single engine prop commuter plane. Nobody thought we were under attack. I read the star foum every day and have for years. Is Peck or Pffl around any more or Pman or Smash or Jonz. those were the good old days.

And extremely insensitive/inconsiderate to the people who had just died (and their familes for that matter).

He never brought it up on this forum. Let it go.

Just because he didn't say it here, doesn't mean he didn't say it.

I figure if he blatantly insists on the ALL CAPS stuff much longer, everyone will have him on their 'ignore' list anyway.

All I'll say btown, is I don't understand your rush to defend him, maybe you didn't read it when it happend. I assure you it was said, and it was assinine. Same person, different forum. Some want to pretend that makes it OK, others don't. To each his own, but I for one think it was an awful thing to say, and whatever place it was said is purely trivial.

And before you or anyone else wants to finger-point me for trying to start a crucifixion, keep in mind I'm not doing anything to him about this, nor should anyone (as admins I mean). But not for one second am I going to excuse it.

I'm expecting negative responses to this post, but I had to speak my mind: I think it was really wrong, and I'm not going to pretend otherwise. Those who want to, can let it go, the rest of us don't have to.

You make good points, I'll give you that.

I'm not into lynchings. I remember the 9/11 ordeal at IS as well and it was in poor taste and I can understand why people would still be upset and not be fond of DH. At the same time, he should have a clean slate here. We have our rules and I think most of them are straightforward. DH's conduct on _this_ forum will determine whether or not he'll be posting here. My 0.02 fwiw.
