Okay capologists, isn't Mark wrong on Jamaal's extention. He cites PB as an example, but he forgets that, even though Primoz was drafted the year before Tinsley, he stayed in Europe for a year, and his rookie year was the same year as Jamaal's. Since they both signed their contracts the same summer, that puts them on the same rookie scale.

As I understand it, if they don't extend Jamaal this year, he becomes a restricted FA. Regardless of Brezec, Tinsley was in the same draft class as Gasol, who just got a big extension, and Chandler and Curry, who are both in negotiations with Chicago according to the papers.

The short of it is, we need to get him locked up by the end of the month.

Mark's just plain wrong. (no news there.)

Peanut Butter and Tinsley both signed extensions for thier fourth season last year.

Its now time to negotiate his first post-rookie scale contract.

I think it will be six years, similar in value to Ron and Jon's deals from a couple summers ago.

I hope we lock Tinsley up for 6 years. We'd be stupid not to.

The funny thing is, Mark probably wrote the article reporting it.

The idea is to use the bunny when you don't know what something else means.

Not just when you don't know what it means... when you suspect that somebody's spouting nonsense.

In other words, it's not just that you don't know what it means, but you suspect it has no meaning.
